Arroyo punked out
I'm pretty suprised that nobody in here is talking about this today... It was obvious to me that Arroyo wanted no part of Danzig and found away out of that fight.
If I were Dana White, I would not have allowed him to fight on the TUF card this Saturday...

i agree with you 100% he was definitely scared, he may have been a good fighter but he didn't compare to mac.
and if you had a cracked rib, would you give up the chance of a life time? dana white said this guy is giving up the biggest opportunity of his life, fighters who really think they can win would fight with a broken arm. like that guy from the beginning. who said the doctors a comedian.

From what I saw.. the doctors cleared him to fight .. they said he had a "small crack and some bruising" ..
seriously.. guys fight with much much more damage than that all the time... you could see it in his eyes, he was scared.
Not quite as scared as Richie, LOL, but still scared.

All I have to say about this is I've had rib injurys from wrestling before and they just drain you. You lose all of your conditioning, you can't breath, and any pressure applied to the body just hurts. But it was his dream to be the tuf I think he should have tried anyway, maybe came out throw some haymakers and try to finish the fight as soon as possible.

i think we should cut the guy some slack and realize that he has a small injury that needs to be taken care of or possibly made much much worse.
1. A cracked rib can become a broken rib and can further puncture a lung. Possibly end a fighters career.
2. This is semifinals, tuffest guys are fighting one another, you dont want to enter a fight like that not 100%
Dana was the one who punked out making Arroyo look like pu$$y

I'm not trying to bag on Arroyo too much, as I have a tremendous amount of respect for anyone who fights for a living... still, when I saw the promo's for this weeks episode and it said "One of these guys will not be able to fight" ... I immediately knew it would be Arroyo...
he just wanted no part of Mac, you could see it in his eyes everytime he talked about the fight.

the doctor cleared arroyo for the fight. his injury wasn't bad enough for him not to fight. he should of just entered the fight and giving it all he could.

While I have no problem with him backing out because, after all, it is his own body and only he knows how it feels, I don't understand it.
If I were in his shoes, I would have fought anyways and hoped for a lucky punch, though his strengths do lie primarily with grappling and submission. But like I said above, only he knows what it felt like.
