See this is what i hate, take downs get too much credit. Especially since Dante didn't do a damn thing when the fight hit the ground.

Exactly. Dante didn't do a damn thing with his takedowns. What a sloppy, not even close attempt at a Heel Hook? Other than that he did nothing. Brandon did WAY MORE damage from the bottom.

Dante was all talk, Riddle would have killed him.

But yeah, I knew he was going to win. Lay and pray for the win baby!

Hmm, at first I wanted Matt Brown to pound Mays face in. But then after "punching himself in the face" during the staredown, then trying to get May to flinch in the second staredown makes me wish they knock eachother out senseless. I still want Brown to win though, Jeremy May, in my eyes, is just a dude that no one could like.

i had Brandon winning all 3 rounds, he was working his arse off from the clinch, and when it was on the ground he did alot more work as well. i don't fault Brandon for the fight being boring at all, he did all he possibly could against someone completely unwilling to fight. i hope Dante loses his next fight and we never see him in the UFC ever again, all talk, no action. if Dana expects more exciting fights in the future he needs to get it into the judges head that laying and praying should not constitute a win.

i also noticed Mazigatti's "stop the fight"/"keep fighting" escapade, that very well could have made the takedown that much easier if Brandon relaxed at all after hearing this. a ref is not there to affect the outcome, if you want it to stop, do not change your mind 2 seconds later.

Totally agreed. The Maz is a terrible referee because he allows the fighters to call the fight. The minute he said stop it should have been broken up. Takedown or not. Who knows if Brandon stopped or not? The Maz just has no balls to exert his authority and that right there tells me that he should not be a referee, at least not at this level.

It was a questionable decision but not a horrible one. Dante did do things to score points. And while Brandon did damage he was also in bad spots for a lot of the fight. Dante had side control in every round I think. I mean Dante got every takedown which means he controlled where the fight was going. Also calm down on the Dante hate. The guy gassed quick in that fight which is bad but he did go for a good amount of submissions he wasn't just lying there. He went for an armtriangle in the first which is why Brandon was able to scramble up. And in the third he was working for a ton of armtriangles and kimuras. He wasn't just lying there he was actaully trying to submit his opponent.

Dante lacks stand up and takedowns which is what will hurt him in the end but he isn't the most boring fighter ever. He kept going foward the whole fight.

Those "submission attempts" by Dante were pathetic. It was quite obvious that from the second round on he was just stalling.

WFT!? Going forward. He was backing up the whole fight until the crappy takedown attempts that any mediocre fighter would have shrugged off.

Dante was lying on him, why try to make it more than what it was. He may have looked like he was going for a submission but he knew nothing. Just a westler that knows how to put someone on there back.
