Either let him stay.... or risk letting 15 other fighters, Dana, Forrest and his coaches and Rampage and his coaches.... cmon it's common sense, if any of those guys were to catch it, they have it for the REST of their lives. not just a fews days, weeks or months, for their whole life.

That's pretty selfish of him to want to stay and possibly infect others with it.

When I think of a warrior, I think of the Marines I've led in combat, those Marines that sacrificed so much...no showers, little food, no contact with their family, all for their love for their brother Marine and for their love for their country. That's a warrior, willing to lay his life on the line. I've had Marines that have laid their lives on the line for the man next to him, and for their family and country. That's a warrior. The guy who goes into some athletic contest who has no war experience, in my eyes, really has no right to call himself that. That's a coveted thing to call someone, and that's what I call my Marines. Those are warriors." - Brian Stann

I think Dana did the right thing, this is a life long condition that can effect people far worse than a spot of bumbs on the neck, if you get it on your eye for example you are likely to lose vision due to scarring and infection.
I hope they scrubbed the mat down though(and the training mats!), supposedly you need to do a cycle of scrubs with some hardcore chemicals to kill the shit in the mat.
Totally baffled as to understanding why some people think it is no big deal, would you screw a girl/guy with herpes?I know I wouldn't and you wouldn't catch me wanting to roll with some guy with Herpes Gladiatorum... F risking blindness(though rare), F risking being socially outcast and F people who think this crap is Ok in 2008.

He could just have got a week for himself to heal up and take the medecine, then come back healthy... It was completely unnecessary to just send him home...

That's a tough question, If the opportunity to screw Jessica Alba came up, I would most likely take my chances.

gladiatorium is not the std though. I had no idea it could cause blindness if it came in contact w/the eye though. It makes me shudder thinking when was the last time the mats at my local Y got cleaned.

Maybe Dana just got rid of him coz he was the boring wrestler that he made a big deal about when he was watching his fight!

After reading that, seems like it was a mistake to let Bradley go. Pills make them go away after 2 days and they don't come back until 6-12 months afterwards.

pffft.

Oh well, signed with Elite XC now. Hope he does well.
Well if it “goes around wrestling” then obviously it’s contagious even if treated with medication.

Most pathogenic viruses have a dormant or lysogenic life cycle in which the physical symptoms are not present but the virus can still attach and replicate in a new host (basically be passed on).

All the medication does is trick the virus into the lysogenic phase, you can still pass on a virus through direct skin contact.

How do I know this? No I’m not a herpes victim but I’ve worked in the biotech industry for over 18 years.

yeah that sucked a lot for him.. i felt pretty bad.. but I had heard somewhere that he was already in talks with EliteXC before he got on TUF and UFC already knew about it so that made me feel less bad
