Turns out Koscheck has the same thing Bradley does.
And many other apparently, it goes around wrestling like nobodies business.
http://mmajunkie.com/news/4162/paul-...-departure.mma
After reading that, seems like it was a mistake to let Bradley go. Pills make them go away after 2 days and they don't come back until 6-12 months afterwards.
pffft.
Oh well, signed with Elite XC now. Hope he does well.

Best of luck to Paul in his career. That is a really tuff break. I look foreward to watching him fight. Success is the best revenge.
EDIT: BTW, nowhere in the article does it say that Koscheck has the same thing. All he says is, "Honestly, man, I can think of three guys right now who are in the UFC that have the exact same thing. I know that for a fact, and I'm willing to bet 50 percent of the fighters out there have it." The comment about Koscheck is about them having had the same job at the University of Buffalo. Now, granted, Kos is a very likely candidate as I'm sure Paul is familiar with him and Kos is a wrestler. It is just better to have proof with that kind of allegation.

This is rather upsetting to me and who knows they'll probably bring the dude back for the finally or something dude. I think the main issue is that they are extremely contagous and they cant confine him to a house with the people if he has it. I think a quarentine coul have been done but for 6 weeks it would be hard cause he would be stressed the whole time. I dont think they have an issue with him fighting but they couldnt legally keep him in the house like that.

in the article he says theres no chance of infecting someone else once you break out in a rash/spots. he was effectively harmless to anyone, and the rash would be fully healed after just 2 days using the medication. dana wasn't well informed on the herpes so he thought kicking him off the show was the best solution. the doctor cleared him to fight after 2 days, so i don't see why dana didn't listen to that and keep him on the show.
at least the guy managed to get a deal with elitexc.

You have to feel bad for the guy but did anyone besides me see him hitting mitts? He was in no way a threat to win that show. This worked out way better, he has a deal now and will get to develop his skills in smaller shows that are still quality. I think this worked out good for the kid.

thats was sucks so bad. i mean, he could have had the opportunity to improve. with Juantino training him in 6 weeks, who knows how much he could have improved. very unfortunate.

i made that comment just from reading the article, i just watched the episode and the doctor says it was contagious. i think i'll trust the doctor in this case, so i guess kicking him off was the best decision.

The diffrance is that we dont interprut everything the same way a lawyer does and Dana was probably advised not to risk the liability and just kick him off, better than having a bunch of guys who lose try to use it to leverage a deal with the UFC.
