The thread is titled 'Matt Brown a scary dude' so I replied that the ring will prove if he is 'a scary dude'. I realize he has fought before I was referring to his upcoming fight proving if the was really 'a scary dude'. How many seasons in the past have we seen guys labeled as 'scary dudes' turn out to be not all the hype after you see them a few times.
Don't worry dude I won't neg rep you I'm a bigger man than that. I just wanted to discuss your comment or why you thought my post deserved a negative rep. I thought it was an honest and educated response on my part. I guess I should have joined the 'Matt Brown is a scary dude' team... are they taking new members?  |

I was looking both guys records and did you guys know that Matt Brown has a losing record? and Jeremy May is at .500, I think May will win by SUB because that is what most of his wins have come by and that is where Brown has lost most of his fights.

Matt Brown has a professional MMA record of 7 and 6, and an amateur record of 2 and 0, making his record 9 and 6.
Sherdog is incorrect on a few points for his record. It says he's 5 and 6, so I see how you came up with this assumption, but it doesn't have his win over Matt Arroyo listed, and there's another fight that he won that isn't listed as well. They actually put his win over Arroyo on another Matt Brown.

I honestly don't care about rep I just wanted to see where you were coming from with your comment and discuss. I didn't know Matt Brown had fought those other guys so I can see my statement sounding very amateurish but I learned something new so cheers. |

Guys who go out of their way to look mean, do the staredown/badass thing are always overcompensating. As soon as I see someone do what Brown did I know they are not a badass, they're scared they aren't good enough. He might still win this fight, I haven't seen enough of him or May to guess accurately but he clearly has doubts about himself.
Real tough guys know they are tough, they don't have to go out of their way to show everyone how tough they are. They don't do shit like that.

May is horrible his standup is really really bad and you could see that in his first fight he was just lucky that the fighter he was facing was even worse he will lose for sure.

I'm with you, man. He looked like crap in that fight to me. But people here are saying he's a submission guy, so who knows? I hope he doesn't win, but I'm nervous.
Not only 'cause I hate May at this point, but because I really like Brown. I want to see Brown get the contract.
