May just throws godamn bombs, Brown couldn't get off of the ground for like 2 minutes, while Jeremy was standinbg, And The punches in that? No counters as forrest said done by Matt Brown, A fight that I was really looking forward to, became something that was not even fun to watch. But hell thats T.V. does to yeah,

Somewhat dissapointing match. Brown looked like a beast against Forrest in their sparring match. It looked so intense I thought they were getting ready to legitamately go at it.

The face kick at the end looked impressive though.

Agreed.
What is up with everybody gassing in the first round with the exception of the Riddle fight? I think there are a few guys with time that might be able to work their way into the UFC. But overall not a very compelling season so far.

This is from Amir's blog:

Matt told me after the the fight how everything Jeremy threw was so unorthodox and sloppy it made him think something crisp and accurate was coming behind it, like he was being set up. When Matt saw that this was all he was doing, he took control and it was downhill for Jeremy from there.

I can't stand Jeremy May and it was good to see him get kicked in the face KO'd. I can't believe that he admitted to being a sandbagger and faking the knee injury just so he didn't have to train, what a douchebag!!

Am I the only one who was rooting for May? lol...

I know he's a fool and all but this "tough guy" act from Matt Brown is pretty lame.. I hate when people take themselves too seriously..

Oh and btw, if you're gonna act like a hard arse.. you better deliver in your fight.. I was not impressed with Brown at all...

Hey, it was enough to stomp May's ass. lol

But seriously, Browns first fight of the season was a war. The guy is tough as nails, has cardio, and heart. He beat a really tough guy to be on the show.

If May would have brought the heat past the moment Brown floored him with a single punch, Matt would have shown the beast inside IMO.

I think MAtt Brown will be in the UFC, Not Jeremy May. Who gasses out in the first round?!?!? And the punches he threw was weird.

Honestly, I wasn't impressed by either guy. May got what was coming to him, and I'm glad he got KTFO, but Matt Brown by no means looked great.

I could see the result of that fight coming a mile away, as Jeremy, since his first fight, has been under the impression that his striking is great. Sadly Jeremy, it's really not. I've never seen someone throw arm-punches as obviously as Jeremy, the guy has NO snap to his punches at all. All it would have taken is one straight punch for Matt Brown to end it all, that fight lasted way longer than it should have.

I personally think the reason Jeremy does throw his punches like that is because he has no idea how to use his range. He thinks that by over-extending his punches, he'll disallow someone from getting inside, when really it has a counter-effect. Look at Anderson Silva, he uses his reach technically, and his strikes still have snap on them. Jeremy's a lanky guy, if someone shows him how to use his assets properly--something I'm surprise Juanito hasn't tried to correct--he would be a much better fighter.

i watched the fight and thought brown was being very tactical about it..... You just know May is going to gas QUICK throwing wide shots and missing most of them. If I was him i would have done the exact same thing.
