I could see the result of that fight coming a mile away, as Jeremy, since his first fight, has been under the impression that his striking is great. Sadly Jeremy, it's really not. I've never seen someone throw arm-punches as obviously as Jeremy, the guy has NO snap at all to them. All it would have taken is one straight punch for Matt Brown to end it all, that fight lasted way longer than it should have.
I personally think the reason Jeremy does throw his punches like that is because he has no idea how to use his range. He thinks that by over-extending his punches, he'll disallow someone from getting inside, when really it has a counter-effect. Look at Anderson Silva, he uses his reach technically, and his strikes still have snap on them. Jeremy's a lanky guy, if someone shows him how to use his assets properly--something I'm surprise Juanito hasn't tried to correct--he would be a much better fighter.

Technically speaking May's striking was a nightmare like you said. I can't beleive that Brown didn't come right down the pipe and drop May while he was opened up like that.
Seeing Brown fail to capitalize on that was unimpressive. Countering those floundering punches that were coming from next door is beginner boxing and Matt didn't appear to know how to deal with it.
As for Juanito correcting Mays technical downfalls, how could he? May was sandbagging a knee injury and not training!! What a dickhead....he doesn't deserve anything better than a job at Burger King.

Haha, I know what you mean, he was dogging it on the training leading up to his fight with Brown. However, it's been apparent that his boxing is god-awful since his very first fight to even get into the house. It shocks me because Juanito is a great boxing coach, just look at how much more technical Quinton's boxing has become since training with him.
I just find it really surprising that a guy like me watching at home can point out where someone really needs work, and a professional trainer doesn't. Or maybe he has talked to May about correcting it, and he refuses? It should really be known as "constructed Reality TV", I hate that we never really get to see absolutely everything that's going down.

Actually, he did deliver. He KO'd May with a kick to the face. KOing someone with a headkick is actually one of the more impressive ways to beat someone in an MMA fight. I don't know why all you guys are hating on it. Not a great technical fight, but really it ended with a KO. Maybe I'm the only one that found it entertaining.

I find it surprising as well that May's wretched boxing went uncorrected. Seeing how arrogant, disrespectful and undedicated May is though, it's likely that he just disregarded Juanito's suggestions. Juanito couldn't have missed the obvious flaws that we're seeing.
Or maybe.....Juanito realized that he doesn't know a damn thing about " Jeremy-Jitsu "....he was trying to pick up some tricks of his own.
It would be nice if they allowed us access to the full training sessions wouldn't it? They could put them on the TUF website or something for those of us that are interested.

The worst part to me is his unfounded, blatant arrogance evident when he stated that "Matt Brown won't want to stand with me", when he was talking to Riddle on the exercise bike the episode before. What good is power if you haven't got the technique to actually apply it?

I don't think anyone would have guessed that Jeremy-jitsu consists of gassing half-way through the first round after throwing your arms like canoe oars, followed by rolling on your back like a chimpanzee, only to stand and get kicked in the jaw lol.

Yeah, no doubt. But I think if the UFC offered something like that, there'd be some sort of subscription fee in place.

Thats just it, his arrogance is so unfounded its disgusting too me. Its a shame that a douche like him made it on the show and is unwilling to even train when 16 other guys that would have given thier all got sent home.

You bet your ass there would be. Zuffa don't pass up any opportunity to make money which is why I'm surprised that they don't offer this on the website already.

They should do something like Big Brother does. They have it on Showtime at 11 - 2 am(uncut) and live.

While he did hurt his knee, I agree that he should have at least tried harder for his teammates. Personally, I don't think it was cool of Riddle to tell Brown what to do, as it could have adversely effected Team Rampage as a whole. I'm glad Brown didn't go for the knee like a coward, but I still wasn't really impressed by him in that fight, and I'm glad that in his own blog he recognizes that.

Yeah, they'd probably make a killing. I wish they'd include the undercard fights on the PPV, or at least offer that option for $10 more.

I thought May's striking was awful, those punches were so slow and they came from so far away I had to duck to avoid getting hit!
I was expecting Brown to explode, but he really didn't. I was quite surprised. But the KO was sweet.
May got what he deserved, if you don't train you wont win - read my sig.
