TUF is getting more boring by the season

I watch them all the time or try to because i am huge MMA fan but tonight i was switching it back and fourth from TUF to another program on TV because it was just so damn boring! The only interesting thing about tonights episode was the last match. Everything else was a just a bore.

Maybe it's just me but....speaking for myself, i really couldn't care if they didn't bother to run anymore new Ultimate Fighter seasons. Dunno, Dana always says that they are going to stir things up "this season" and its going to be something different and awsome but it is always the same shit over and over

Show them doing cardio for 15 seconds, hit the punching bag for 5, piss in the pool or shit in somebody's toilet then go get weighed in! Get into the octagon and do everything the coaches do NOT want you to do, pretty much ignoring them. *Not all of them but allot of the fighters seem to not listen to the coaches during fights.

I want to see these guys train for more than 5 seconds, i want to see BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS! I DO NOT WANT TO SEE HOLES BEING PUNCHED INTO THE WALLS AND SHIT THROWN ACROSS THE ROOM! If i wanted drama, i would just watch an episode of "HOUSE"

Anyways, maybe you guys still love them but i am starting to hate these. To think of it, if i could choose to watch either a new episode of TUF or a re run of say GSP vs Hughes , or a previous BJ penn fight. I think i would take the re runs. I just want them to show way more on TV about the MMA and the fighters and what they go through or have to go through to get to where they are or become better.

The thing I like about the TUF shows is that it gives a shot to the less experienced fighters to learn from the best and even get trainers and coaches after the show and it also allows the UFC to see the potential in these guys. A lot of guys wouldn't get the chance to fight in the UFC if it weren't for TUF, because they got the exposure from the show.

Yea i agree with you there but i am talking about the people WATCHING it, I mean if you are on the show yea, you have this once in a lifetime chance pretty much to make something of yourself and get a contract. But i mean, for those that want to know more about MMA and fighting etc from just watching the show.

Example, instead of showing them doing stupid things in the house, how about let us know the time frames of their workouts, how long do they get pushed? What are their eating habits like?

Yea they SHOW us what they are eating for a quick 2 seconds and one guy eating cheese burgers, But, WTF are you actually eating so i could take that into consideration? Even quick examples and explanations of the work outs and why are they doing those? Like what is this workout routine going to help him in? Being more explosive? Faster? etc etc

Like i am sure you guys have watched tapes or vids on Silva's workouts before a big fight. Well , the guys there give you mad detail about his workout , not just 5 seconds clips. And yea i know its hard to cram all that crap into 1 hour episodes. .

i can understand what you are saying. i am not interested in needless drama in the house. i am interested in what it takes to become a professional MMA fighter. i want to know all the aspect and details, not that i can become one as i am now too old, but i just want to know for my own education and knowledge.

my biggest beef with TUF is the talent pool. i wish whomever is in charge of selecting fighters had a better eye. i'm still pretty angry from the jesse taylor fight. for me, that display is the worst possible MMA experience that i can think of. the best idea that i have encountered so far for remedying this situation was what norway1 proposed in allowing international competitors on the show. i think this could really be something that "stirs up" the show in a positive way.

I thought that the way they had to enter wasnt boring at all, but still the competition is getting weaker and weaker theres no way they could compete in the top 10 MW's, maybe C.B. with a bit more experience but thats it IMO.

There are guys in there with a lot of heart but that just dosnt cut it anymore, like War Machine, he has a load of heart but look how easily he got destroyed on Saturday.
They do make great fights how ever when the fight lower rank fighters, but throw them in there with some one in the top 20 and they just get mauled.

TUF 5 was the last series to have any real talent, TUF 6 was a WW tournament And a half decent LW mauled the lot of them with great ease.
