I liked the fight and thought it was pretty fun.

Also Jesse has much better submission defense than Tommy Speer.

Please don't compare Spear to Jessie.

Thank you...my point entirely. Jesse dominated...but was smart enough to know not to give Tim any gifts. That being said i forgot to mention in my last post that Jesse needs to work his submission game...because he was being given some nice gifts.

Martin Kampman
Jake Shields

Actually he did start listening to them and do some of what they were saying, and he did well when he did what they told him. He just didn't do it enough, and when he listened and got Jesse off him he would then settle for getting taken down and laid on again while he was getting smacked in the face.

It wasn't a bad fight over all, lots of action on the ground. Jesse never did stop once he got on top of him. I liked that.

I would normally probably distaste Jesse because he does not ever look to pass and is never a real threat to finish the fight but he is such a goofy dude that I have grown to like him. He is a big, dumb, meathead, who is pretty much a pure wrestler but he is a funny dude. He is a far superior grappler to Speer IMO but he will need to make similar adjustments that Speer has to make to really be successful.

Everyone keeps talking about how he didn't look to pass but honestly how was he going to pass a BJJ blackbelts guard? He has faced the best two BJJ guys on the show in his last two fights which makes it tough for a wrestler to pass guard.

Even when he did try to pass he was in danger of getting swept. Timmy took his back twice(but blew it). He was doing a good job of damaging Credeur from the guard anyway...if it ain't broke...

30-27,30-27,30-26 says he did the right thing.

Exactly Wreslters are in danger of getting swept and submitted when they pretend to be submission grapplers against submission guys. They should stick with their bread and butter and he did.
