I have never drink alcohol in my life. So, I wonder if alcohol is as addictive as drugs sold on streets? If it is, then JT will be lying his ass off of cutting alcohol out of his life. Get some help, JT!!!

I'll argue that point with you, the guy is on the verge of fullfilling his lifelong dream and instead of preparing for his semifinal match up he got himself so shitfaced he practically had to be carted of to bed, if alcohol is that high up on your prority list that you couldnt lay off it till after the fight dude has some serious dependancy issues.

With him it was all about showing off, any issues he may have are more of an inferiority complex than dependancy.
Its clearly a case of 'look how hard I am, I can get wasted and still kick someones head in' than him being an alcoholic.
He struck me as one of those guys that if someone is laughing at his antics, he will play up to it and do it all the more. Attention seeker? Definately. Idiot? Yeah, but loveable with it. Alcoholic? No.

i hope he is true to his word that he is dropping alcohol form his life, i myself drink and know that drinking can start to take over if you don't nip it in the butt and learn to control yourself. I hope he straightens his life out because i have a good feeling he can have a bright future ahead of him in fighting.

I'll back this up. As a recovering alcoholic myself JT shows all the signs of somebody with a drinking problem. While I'll admit that we have only seen a limited amount of him on TV one thing I noticed other than the binges was this.
After he won his fight and got to the locker room he screamed " I'm getting drunk, WOOOO". This to me was more of a sign that he has a problem than his antics while drunk. Alcoholism shows itself the most prominently when you are not drunk and its all thats on your mind.

I agree as well. Some alcoholics only drink on the weekend. Others never get wasted, but drink every day. Technically, it's even possible to be an alcoholic and only drink once a month. Some are addicted psychologically, others physically. Addiction comes in an infinite number of varieties. Only JT knows for sure whether he has a problem or not.
For anyone who doubts the possibility that JT has a problem, check out the clinical definition:
Quote:
A maladaptive pattern of substance use leading to clinically significant impairment or distress, as manifested by one (or more) of the following, occurring within a 12-month period:
- Recurrent substance use resulting in a failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school, home (e.g., repeated absences or poor work performance related to substance use; substance-related absences, suspensions, or expulsions from school; neglect of children or household)
- Recurrent substance use in situations in which it is physically hazardous (e.g., driving an automobile or operating a machine when impaired by substance use)
- Recurrent substance-related legal problems (e.g., arrests for substance-related disorderly conduct)
- Continued substance use despite having persistent or recurrent social or interpersonal problems caused or exacerbated by the effects of the substance (e.g., arguments with spouse about consequences of intoxication, physical fights)
[DSM-IV, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, ed. 4. Washington DC: American Psychiatric Association (AMA). 1994.]

JT's episode definitely fits the bill.
