Do you think CB was thinking about all of this during his fight? I think he was upset about the fact he didn't tap out or verbally submit and the fight got stopped. I think accusing CB of having some grand scheme to save face when the fight had just ended is retarted.

Aside from instinctively tapping from a dangerous submission, what the Hell else would he be doing? I understand where you're coming from with the "only tapped once" thing, but seriously. There is absolutely no other logical reason to tap like that. Let's just give CB the benefit of the doubt for a minute. Maybe he was throwing a palm strike at Amir's leg...? I doubt Herb is going to think about something like that...

Herb's job is to ensure the safety of the fighters. When he's looking VERY close at the action during a submission, he's looking for the slightest gesture to indicate that the fighter is in too much pain or if they are giving up. If he sees anything indicating that a fighter cannot continue, he's going to stop it. It's all for the safety. If CB never tapped and Herb stopped it, then I'd call BS. But he did tap. And I understand that it's supposed to be three taps, but I guess Herb didn't want to chance it. I, honestly, can't blame him for that.

Yea I was being sarcastic there buddy. I was just throwing random stupid scenarios like that. Hell, read the other post I made about CB having a plot to trick Amir into thinking he tapped. I'm not serious about stuff like that. As I've stated in that post, the main point I'm trying to make is that HE TAPPED. Regardless of any stupid scenario, HE STILL TAPPED. That's it.

Look I understand but I'm not sure how you can't see where CB is coming from? He tapped one time the sign for submission is three. It's possible he started to tap realized that he was in the biggest fight of his life and decided to try and fight out of it.

The sign is 3 taps so CB does have a right to be upset.

This takes nothing away from Amir who caught him in a sick armbar but CB has the right to be upset especially since he didn't go all Vera on us by saying the ref is a dumbass

Edit - K sorry about that man It's hard to tell what a joke and whats legit on here because the CB hatred is so high I mean you would think he killed some small children or was Doug Marshall.

Haha it's all good man. I was just trying to point out that Herb did it for safety purposes. Was it early? I don't know. Herb saw a tap and rushed to stop it. If he let it go, would Amir have broke his arm? Or would CB have broke free? I just don't know. And nobody does really. And I understand 100% what you mean since you feel CB could have likely broke free. It's speculation and I understand your opinion. I just saw it going the other way in Amir breaking his arm. So no disrespect intended, dude. It's conflicting opinions and that's what forums are for.

My issue isn't really an early stoppage I wouldn't have cared as much if we didn't have threads like this complaining about CB. I mean CB by rule didn't tap which means him being upset about losing the biggest fight of his life valid IMO.

There is a difference between being a cry baby and being upset.

Is he a dick yes. But I mean it seems like people are just attacking him for no reason I was a fan of his before the show started. I now just think he is a talented prick. But people are blinded by their hatred for CB right now.

I think thats for WWE, wasn't the ref Herb Dean? hes one of the best they got, the ref would'nt of been doing his job if he didn't stop the fight.
most of the time fighters only tap twice A Tap is a TAPOUT wether if be 1 or 5 period.

No actually it's MMA you are supposed to tap 3 times to make sure it's a tap.

Does it say somewhere that you need to tap 3 times for the match to be stopped? Because at least here it just says this:

And I haven't seen anywhere that you need 3 taps. To me it was obvious that he tapped with that one tap, the armbar was sunk deep.
