They stated during the Fight Night that the next season would be WWs and MWs with a US v UK theme.
Whom do you see as potential coaches? Bisping will probably be a sure bet, seems a bit early for him though. The other one I'd have no clue, maybe another MW or something.

I think Bisping is still too young to be a coach, really. I thought they usually have the coaches be 1 weight class above the heaviest weight class of the season. Although I can't think of a big named UK LHW.

The coach is always a well known UFC fighter, and if it's a UK team, he's got to be British, so I guess Bisping is the most likely candidate. I guess they could have someone at about the same experience level as Bisping as coach for the US team to make it fair.

i just got a horrible premonition, once anderson whoops cote and *if* bisping beats Leben, they will have them be coaches and tie up the middleweight belt and have bisping be the next contender.. dont do it dana dont do it!

Great point.  That's exactly what I was thinking when they announced the weight classes. When are they going to use TUF to develope and introduce some new and young fighters to the division that needs the most work? It's completely baffling just like having 2 HWs coach LHW and LW on this current season. It would have been much better to use HW coaches to coach HW fighters. I don't get it.

Well the UK coach has to be Bisping because he is really their only UK star that I can think of right now. The other coach will probably be somebody from the US they want to match him up with.

Anderson Silva isn't from USA though, so that will have to wait until they've got UK vs Brazil. Besides, he doesn't speak nearly enough English to be a head coach on TUF. |
