i also think philipe aka "the fainter" is the guy who dana compared to Silva. I believe Browning is the guy who dana was talking about when saying how this season had the craziest guy yet even more so then leben.

The previews for this season looked interesting. Best part would have to be that guy getting "cold cocked in the face". I'm guessing the guy was trying to prove how tough he is or something and told the other guy to punch him. Because otherwise the dude who hit him would have to be a straight up lunatic because it looked like they were both pretty calm when it happened.

Shane Primm was rocking the muay thai clinch and the knees, also Frank said his jitz was good. He's the only one who really resemblem Silva besides that one LW on ep2 who's name I forgot.

It's Efrain Escudero. He came to the show undefeated and he's leaving undefeated.

I don't think it's Browning, simply because you normally wouldn't compare a freak show like him to anyone you respect even if their fighting styles are similar - it can be seen as insulting to the other guy.

And it's definitely not Escudero. Anyone labeled as "the new Anderson Silva" must have amazing striking.

So I'm guessing it's either the fainter or someone we haven't seen much of yet.

Um, as someone said before it's Joe Duarte. He got beat yes, but after Junie's actions this passed episode it's probably going to yield him getting the boot thus leaving open a 155er slot. I would say they will bring him back sometime soon. With that said, here is a link to the article that was already posted preshowing.

I don't mean to rain on your parade but that article is just speculation and pretty much what we are doing here, not even really an article just a blog. It's only correlation between Dana White's statements and Duarte is that he said the fighter was 24 years old. Guess who is also 24 years old and actually still on the show? Phillipe Nover. He's also undefeated at 5-0-1 and walks around at 185 as well.
I never actually heard Dana's quote about the lightweight anderson silva before but now that I know about his 24 years old comment, it's pretty clear, at least to me, it's Nover.

Also it looked like Nover messed up Duarte's nose pretty bad in their fight, probably broken, thats a suspension by the athletic commission, I really don't think he's coming back, he is a good fighter and probably deserves to be back, but it's unlikely.

Haha yeah, and dodging that one guy's punches like they're nothing. I'm excited for the next episode, I'd love it if Junie talked some shit and got KTFO.
