Jules: The Most Overrated Contestant
Junie, obviously, has the biggest mouth, but lightheavyweight Jules is the one that I can't believe made the cut. His opponent made some stupid mistakes (like displaying a complete lack of knowledge about how to work a guillotine), and Jules jumps up like he's a seriosu warrior.
I can understand celebrating victory, but this guy is a crappy fighter and will probably get knocked out in his next fight. I'm just curious to see who's going to beat him.

I was rooting against him from day one actually. The only time I rooted for him was against Aguilar, who actually had the audacity to imply he inspires to be someone like Hitler.
Junie is clearly a douchebag. My favorite part is his mistaken belief that it's the alcohol that was talking, and not him. If part of who you are is a drunk, and you act like a four star douche when drunk, then that is exactly what you are: a douchebag, an alcoholic, and who you are is one in the same.
This kid has serious problems. I believe in second chances, but it looks like they're keeping him even after flipping out after Efrain's win, which is bullshit. Do Junie a real favor Dana, and send him home with the consolation prize of enrolling him in an AA program.
I was glad to see Nelson lose as well. I laughed out loud when all the focus was on Junie and then Dana looks at Shane and was like 'what the f*ck is up with you?'
Props to Sos who continues to be a standup, humorous guy. His words were beyond accurate during the pool fiasco.

Yeah, Junie has major issues and flaws. However, I have to concur (with whoever posted that thread) that he is one of the finalists given all the information we have available. Even if he is booted or loses I have a tough time believing the UFC would have him blogging if he wasn't at least in the finale show.
My guess is he mellows out after last ep, wins his fights, and ends up in the TUF8 championship fight.
That said, the guy is definitely a punk. But if he can win fights, its hard to argue that he doesn't belong in the UFC. It's the ultimate fighter, not the ultimate nice guy.

There's more to being a professional fighter than winning fights. It's MMA not WWE. Doesn't matter how good he is if he feels the need to jump in the cage after a fight and complete disrespect the whole thing, he doesn't deserve to be there.
It's not about not being nice, there are plenty of UFC fighters that aren't particularly nice but they don't act like unprofessional nut cases at every given opportunity.
I hope someone KOs his blonde ass. |
