I have a feeling UFC supplies them with some of these things... you know, to boost ratings. Anyway, I wasn't so much bothered by Mir as I was the younger, non-established fighters disrespecting and blowing off Nog, whom was genuinely looking out for the best interest of his fighters. While some of these pranks are funny, they often tend to be taken too far, and in the end, lead to a brawl or confrontation of some sorts. Nog wanted to stop this before it happened, and come on... you can't begrudge the guy. That shows concern. It shows responsibility. It shows class. I have the utmost respect for the man after just a few episodes, and for these juvenile nobodies to dismiss him when they should be paying respect to a legend of the business in which they hope to thrive is somewhat perplexing. That isn't Ken Shamrock in there trying to lay it down. This is Nog... he'll put the hurt on ya. But you know, I can't ever see the man losing his temper. He just seems like such a pro.

yellow_fever has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I really found elliot to be really condescending to Nog... I find some of Mir's guys were just treating him like that crazy uncle who you cant understand what he's saying....

And Mir as some have said came off as a douche... when in fact, he should be like "what's not Nog? you want me to tell them to chill out with the pranks, ok I'll do it as long as you don't knock me out in the first round and let me make it to the 2nd... deal???"....

I think Mir's response to Nog was perfectly fine as a peer. Really I'm with Mir on it. The guys have no way of entertaining themselves and overall I think the pranks were harmless. The guy who whipped it out and took a piss on the pillow was just wrong.

The pranks are kind of just a way of keeping everyone sane.

I think the responses of all the contestants to Nog were completely disrespectful.

This is actually the reason I think they should bring back challenges. For rewards not for fight choice. All these guys can do is train, fight, drink, and mess around with each other. They need something to eat up that idle time.

This episode really pissed me off. First of all, pranks are pranks, but itching powder IS taking it too far. I guess Krysztof didn't take it under consideration that some people might have had a reaction to the powder, and not to mention could affect the way they sleep (and it did.)

Next, I've lost most of my respect for Frank Mir after this episode. What is dude trying to pull? "Oh, he's the opposite coach, I'm going to be act like a prick and disagree with him." Basically just shrugging anything Nog said like it was nothing. Then he had the nerve to say "as long as it's not effecting them in the octagon I think pranks are great" well moron, that's exactly what Nog was trying to tell you is its affecting their sleep and could possibly affect their health with ITCHING POWDER, which in time can affect their fight. Seriously Mir, I thought you were smarter than this. Dude is a flat out toolbag, plain and simple.

Finally, Mirs fighters. Could you have chosen a more ignorant, obnoxious team? I mean some of them are alright, but these guys are taking the "TUF concept" too seriously. Oh act redundant towards the other coach, he's evil. Dude was simply holding an intelligent and reasonable convo and they act like pricks.

I also love how Dana makes excuses why he didn't kick Junie off. "If Keith Kizer was there, Junie would have been gone." Right, as if Keith Kizer can't watch the tape and THEN kick him off. Dana, just shut up. Seriously, Jesse Taylor is watching this bleech haired meathead and saying "WTF?"

Just an annoying episode, I hope every Mir fighter gets smashed (not likely) then Nog does us all a favor and tears one of Mirs limbs cause the guy sure does deserve it.

Alex, I generally don't agree with what you have to say but you've hit the nail on the head here.

I missed the 1st part but it seems the show promotes disrespect towards obvious peers & revels in the fact genuine athletes are putting both, their own & others careers at risk.

Mir showed tonight that he's the cocky bully that I originally thought he was. After so many beatings I felt sorry for him, understanding his hurt. I would put money on Nog having none of these feelings!!! Good times! I hope Mir leaves the octogon with a broken arm.

Kizer can't kick people off the show, and its hard to justify barring someone from competition for allegedly rushing into the ring according to a handful of footage from Zuffa, in which no one was actually injured. I think Dana was pretty much 100% correct- had Kizer seen it, it probably would have been a ban- but since Kizer DIDNT see it (likely until the show aired) it was a moot point. Its just not that big a deal unless its during the bout or someone gets hurt.

Mike Kyle did much worse before finally being barred from competition. Um Kizer can keep them from fighting which pretty much is the same thing as kicking them off the show, since if you cant fight how can they keep them around? I see what youre saying but I guarantee the comission gets footage of the fights after they happen, and they have other officials and licensed judges there at the time.

Also what is this "alleged" rushed into the ring shit? Are you blind the guy vaulted over the cage and had to be held back. Its one thing if at least the guy got called out or something but he had no reason to put himself into that situation.

Edit: In edition I agree with other posters. Its kind of like a lesser PacMan Jones situation where if it had been an isolated incident you can let it go, but the guy was obviously having a ton of issues before that.

Do I believe they edit shit to make it look worse sometimes? Absolutely, but at the same time I dont think they really needed to do any editing to make Junie look like a scum bag.

I hated the pranks and the way Mir and his team disrespected Nog, but with that said, I hope Nog's entire team cums in Junie's shampoo bottle.

im starting to lose my respect on Mir.. besides hes actions when Nog talk to him about the pranks, he is questioning (not in a good way) Delgado's black belt.. Delgado is a legit blackbelt. I hope he rips Junie's arms..
