Not really. He clearly admits his bjj isn't the best in business even if he is a black belt. That is why he brought a guy with better bjj (Drysdale) with him to show and trains with guys like Eddie Bravo to improve his arsenal even more.
I think the editing etc. is making Mir look like a douche in the show, he is pretty humble and respectful guy usually.
I don't think at all that he is threatened by other black belts, specially if the only reason to think that is because he was curious and asked someone where he got his belt from.
