Who is going to be the american coach? I have a feeling the winner of hendo/franklin fight will get it.

I'd much rather see the next season be a 3 way tournament. It should be Team USA vs. UK vs. Brazil. It would make for a much better season.

As I've said before this is a stupid idea. They should get fighters from all around the world. Talent is talent.

Just out of curiosity, what are you basing this on? Do you follow the UK mma scene closely? Are you telling me there aren't fighters in the UK who are as good as say: Jeremy May, Monsta Lobster, (I can go on and on)? Cos I know someone who's a lot better than loads of guys on Tuf who didn't make it through the trials.

And since there has been a pretty big following of mma for over 10 years all over the world, it's a fair assessment that there are good bjj guys in other places appart from Brazil.

in reality team USA vs team Canada vs team Brazil would be better than that.

but you know what would be the best? 2 teams of the best undiscovered fighters from the entire world!

I do watch a lot of UK shows and the level of fighter is often rather low outside of the top guys.

And I'm sure their are better guys then Monsta Lobster. But I'm also pretty sure that they will end up with a number of random brawlers on their team.

The UK has some talented fighter but a lot of them are already signed to places and a lot of their other fighters are just brawlers.

of course their are good BJJ guys outside of Brazil but the best guys are still from Brazil and it's not even close.

The whole premise of it smacks of like a WWE kind of deal to me. Where they set up the foreign guy to look like the heal so the people can chant "usa, usa, usa."

The only thing I can think of is that theyre dying for any kind of British talent to be able to push on their shows in the UK because theyre just recycling guys on those cards.

Although I do think they can get a decent enough mix of cats on TUF from just crazy brawlers with personality to the actually talented cats who are British. I would think their would be a good amount of guys from like Cage Rage or something who would jump at the oppurtunity.

Not gonna lie though pretty much all the talented british cats I followed have signed with American organizations these days.

Why? You live in the UK? You train regularly with fighters from the UK? You right for a magazine that covers UK fighters?

Ignorant comment.

They are taking guys who already have really good records and credentials, fighting for orgs like cage gladiators and cage rage. For example, Dana white mentioned Abdul Mohammed in one of his blogs. He has over 20 professional fights. The average american tufer has about 3. There are more good British fighters than you'd think.
