I wish the marketing machine aka UFC would REALLY listen to the fans who are there to see good matchups and showcases of technique instead of shilling Ultimate knockouts 1 to 4 which everyone has seen and TUF reality competitions where even if you lose in the semis, you still show up on UFN as a a co main event because you had personality in the house.
They should get back to the basics: Scout out the guys who kick ass at the smaller shows and pay them to come in and give the UFC "stable" a run for its money. It's king of the hill. You fight to keep the belt. If you lose, they kick you back to the smaller shows.
I'm buying PPVs and then seeing the footage for free on Youtube the next day and seeing 50 UFC commercials for their events and shows during the PPV. C'mon Dana! The fans want to see some fights. Not fighters shilling Xyience and Mickey's malt liquor.
BTW, I have been a UFC fan for a while but really started getting into it after TUF1 and I just started giving Pride a look as well. I have to give it to PRIDE. They put on a cool show and seem to show a lot of respect for the fans. UFC seems to be about getting money from ads and splashy marketing and is losing sight of the fans.
And, THAT'S WHY TUF 4 stinks. The Vets came in out of shape for the most part and think that they are far and away better than any newbies that were in the house before them. They don't even have strong enough records to go for a title shot.
