Seriously.

How can he call himself an "athlete"?

And much less compare his athleticism to noguiera|?

I can't wait until they fight.

I Hope Noguiera breaks his ankle.

It did seem like a rather off-the-wall comment, so as was said, maybe Mir was just upset after losing like he did, to a man with what we were told was little to no soccer experience. Still, I've noticed that Mir is taking little digs at Nog here and there, while Nog is only ever a friendly mofo. You really get an idea for who these guys are when they serve as coaches on TUF.

Wow, Mir has really lost all respect from this show. Not only about his comment towards Nog and how he's "200 times the better athlete" but then calling the guys on Team Nogueira losers and saying how they'll never make it and all that shit just because they were cheering on their coach.

People can't blame editing or anything else for Mirs comments. When he says he's 200 times the athlete than Nogueria, and how he's better at him than anything or some crap, that's being a complete toolbag.

^This, and also the differences in the changing rooms after the fights. Every time any of Mir's guys loses a fight, Mir's all over him afterwards telling him how it's all his fault and criticizing him. When one of Nog's guys have lost, Nog never points any fingers, just tries to get everybody's mood back up for the next fight. It seems like Mir's still struggling with his own self confidence, trying to blame or criticize someone else every time things don't go his way. Kind of like he was one of the new guys on TUF rather than a former UFC champ.

Some people were hesitant about whether it was a good idea to have Nog on the show since his English speaking skills are limited, but he's been portrayed in such a positive way in every episode, that I think it will really boost his popularity among UFC fans who perhaps didn't know much about him before this TUF season.

Honestly I think Mir is just trying to sell the fight and to steal a prowrestling term he is trying to play the heel but failing miserably.

I don't think even think Mir would have the nerve to script it by saying how he's 200 times the better athlete. It's like Billy Miles saying he's 200 times the better grappler than BJ Penn.

I mean I think this is just Mirs personality. Making excuses for your fighters, calling the other fighters on the other team losers doesn't have anything to do with the fight. Let's not pretend Mir didn't act this way before the show. He's just simply a tool.

yaya! Someone thinks just like me!

Tbh, the way Nog's boxing, cardio and MMA BJJ looks like I'd say that Nog is actually pretty athletic! Just not explosive.

Also, if Mir were to beat Nogueira, I would cry. Hard.

I lost what little respect i had for Mir tonight. Unbelievable what he said about being 200 times the runner, jump higher, move faster then Nog it must be a mixture of crack and Sudafed because he can't actually think that.

Dana should have let Mir choose the event so he could have destroyed Nog in a hot-dog eating contest.

LOL Mir using the soccer example seems like a good reason to why he would beat Nog hah. "You see if he's played it before and I didn't then that means I will beat him, don't you see how good I did out there? I was faster, stronger, just goes to show ya'!" Something like that:) I suppose if I can beat GSP at darts then I could whoop him.

And Nog REALLY sucks at soccer. He wasnt lying or downplaying his (un)ability to play soccer, he really is horrible, its unbelievable!

Ill just go and extrapolate from a stupid soccer game like Mir did, but i will based on more facts than stupidity.. If Mir is out of his confort zone, he wont try anything. So according to this logic, Mir will get KTFO standing by Nog.

I know Kaplan did something stupid,(REALLY stupid), but at least he was drunk and hes young. Whats Mir excuse?

Haha I love how Mir and his meathead team thought Nog played soccer just because he's from Brazil. Then I love how Mir tried to twist it around and was like "it's humiliating for him that I scored 6 goals on him," uh, even if someone HAS played soccer for a few years, they're not going to stop every goal from that range.

Whatever, Mir is a complete jackass and it just irritates me thinking about it, especially when you have class acts like Noguiera on the other side of it, like a caged animal boy.

Yeah, Mir is doing a good job of making himself out to be a douchebag.

I liked him in the beginning of the season, but now I really want Nog to crush him. When he called the other team a bunch of losers that will never amount to anything, I was pretty pissed off. What a d*ck.

At one time i thought Mir was a decent guy, very knowledgeable on his commentating and at other aspects of the game. however lately he is coming off as a sore loser and not very concerned about what he is doing

Nog on the other had is impressing me with his genuine care for the guys and what he is doing

Funny how the show seems better with out the idiotic pranks
lets get them back to the team competitions
