He said he reminds him of a YOUNG GSP. GSP didn't look like an unstoppable champion athlete in his TKO and early UFC days. I even think Dana said the words incredible potential. He sees a bright future for the kid, he's not saying he's going to walk in and wipe the floor with everyone right now. He's young, athletic and has talent.

Does anyone remember how bad Kenny Florian looked on Tuf? Regardless of the weight class, he looked terrible. He got to the final with one fight where he was getting absolutely destroyed until he landed an elbow and opened a cut. His fight in the final was even more embarrassing. Now he's fighting the best lightweight in the world in a stacked division for the title.

I think Dana was a little quick comparing him to GSP.

But I think that him saying that about Nover (and before the show talking about a super talented LW) made everyone at MMAforum think that he will continue to have impressive performances.

I think this kid will win the LW contract. He is really good. I think that he will only get better as his career goes on.

The casts aren't getting progressively worse. TUF6 WITHOUT a doubt has the worst cast of any TUF, ever.

regarding his fight getting into the house.

when have you ever seen an amatuer open a ufc fight with a standing side kick? not everyone is anderson silva, every fighter has a unique style; and novers is impressive. if you dont recognize that then you are blind.
even among 32 of the nations most ambitious amatuer mma practioners, ju-jitsu champs, and all american wrestlers he was still able to incite a rally of 'eews' and 'awes' in demonstation of his kicks and knees.
maybe you have no idea what it is like to be a lightweight. i am not trying to argue here. if i were 200lbs i wouldnt see him as impressive either.

What are you refering to ?

I would have to agree with you, Nover seems to pack quite a punch for his 155 frame. We'll see how he will dominate Roop standing up, i think hes going to nail him
