Whats with the Nover love?

Yea he is a nice guy and everything but I dont really see the skills. Dana comparing him to GSP is a joke. When Nover strikes it almost looks like he doesnt know what hes doing. It looks awkward and ugly. Its just not very technical. He could end up winning the show but the LW talent on this show is very weak. You heard it here. Nover will never be a top 10 LW or ever make any serious noise in the UFC. Am I the only one who thinks this guy is over hyped?

There are 2 guys on this show with a future in the UFC. Bader and Vinny. And maybe Krzysztof Soszynski.

I love the show but the talent just keeps getting worse and worse.

Agreed 100%. I laughed when Dana said he reminds him of GSP. GSP is physically the biggest 170 pounder ever, the elite athlete of the UFC and so well rounded and technically proficient and smooth in every area of the fight game. He is what a mma fighter is in its most complete form. Nover? No. lol he isnt bad but I see what you mean. There is nothing natural or smooth about his stand up, he has power but he drops his hands when he throws I think because he is trying to land a KO punch with every shot. Time will tell what he can do but I cant see him beating guys like Guida, Griffin, Pellegrino, Florian, Huerta, Wiman, etc... just not happening.

-GSP is smaller than Alves

-We did not see enough of Nover yet to tell if he will handle it well. He has pretty heavy hands for a LW, his standup is versatile and his ground game seems good enough. He's by far better than the other LW on this show

Comparing Nover to GSP is just more Dana hyperbole, he gets carried away.

The whole comparing him to GSP was probably just a ploy to get more viewers. He's not so great as of yet, but I think in time he will become a very good fighter.... a top 5 LW? Probably not, but still good.

No way.

dana never gets carried away.. thats a crazy thought

Bring back knees strikes on grounded opponents.. Give me good arguments for not having them for crying out loud.

We have a lot of time to see. If someone said to you in 05 that Forrest would someday be the champ would you believe them?

Disagree, there's a ton of talent this year.
Vinny,Elliot and Bader will fight in the UFC for the LHWs.
Junie,Nover and Effrain will fight from the LWs.

We're already down to Matt Brown, Amir Saddoloh, Matt Riddle and CB Dollaway from the last cast cast.

There's still Credeur and Cramer.

Basically the entire quarter finals is still fighting in the UFC, besides Dante Rivera who was pretty bad and Jesse Taylor who was talking to much shiz, really not to bad showing from last season.

Junie, Efrain, and Nover will all make it.

All the semi final LHWs will have a couple fights in the UFC IMO.

TEAM LORD:
1. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
2. Nate Marquardt
3. Goran Reljic
4. Amir Saddolah

RANKING: TBA
TOTAL POINTS: +TBA
