Sure, he was more active in his previous fights and was probably less active against Marshall to not get caught in his submissions.

But if the thought of Marshall's subs makes Bader that careful, then Magalhaes' subs should scare him shitless.

First off people don't realize how good Eliot is on the ground.

Both Eliot and Vinny went to BJJ worlds and they both finished in 3rd in their divisions.

Vinny is a bit better but not a huge amount to be honest.

Also Vinny is a much less devoloped fighter then Bader or Eliot is.

Vinny isn't a well rounded MMA fighter yet he's a dangerous grappler but unfortantly for him Bader is a wrestler who he's not getting down.

I think Vinny's "functional submission grappling" if you will is better than Elliott's. I think he is just a more agile guy on the ground and seems a lot stronger. As for the Vinny/Bader fight Bader really should win it. He is a better wrestler, better stand up, and if it does hit the floor it will be with Bader in top position and he has good sub defense so as long as he stands right back up or takes no chances on the ground(lays on top) he will be fine. I hate to say it but I think Bader is more well rounded of an mma fighter and should win this fight.

Vinny is better the Eliot but it's not by as much as you may think.

I think the Bruchez-Marshall match-up is hillarious. Give the guy with the worst BJJ on the show to Elliot Marshal.

Will be a short fight.

I'm not so impressed with Bader, but all I've seen of him was on TUF. He seems like a good wrestler, but he wasn't doing much in the standup with Marshall.

Whatever the excuses are, there is no denying the hyped up Bader gave us one of the most boring fights in the history of TUF.

His stand up is far from as good as many are saying, and if it is then Vinny's is even more awesome. I saw clumsy and slow Tim Sylvia -like movement with like no combos or power. Vinny atleast has smooth movement and good kicks, although we didn't see that many of those in the Kryz fight.
Basically though I don't see Bader catching Vinny standing, and even though Bader is a "good" wrestler there is no way he can prevent the sub.
Im saying "good", because right now he is like Koscheck used to be during/after tuf 1. Similiar boring lay and prey bs about every fight, no good stand up, subs or even ground and pound. He has improved alot since then and he actually has some good subs and solid stand up now, something I think Bader too will eventually have.

Anyway, its not my job to convince the Bader fans, I'll let Vinny prove me right instead. Its good to see there is more than 1-2 guys with potential this season though so the opinions are actually split like this. Been pretty easy to guess the winner pretty much on start on few last seasons.

I predict that Bader and Vinny will spend round 1 and the first couple minutes of round 2 showing us how unfortunate their standup game is, then an exhausted Bader will go for a take down. From there, I think Vinny will take it. Submission in the 3rd.

vinny=sub of the night. i see Bader fighting very cautious again and tries to keep it standing and when he does take vinny down he will jus lay on top of him until the ref stands them up again. But i do think he'll get caught on the ground and sub'd
