Does anyone else think that maybe the UFC was actually trying to bring in a few talented fighters from each of the first two seasons, whereas in seasons three and up they really just wanted to bring in good tv personalities/drama queens? The comeback season may have been an exception to this...

It's pretty hard to compare the early seasons with the more recent ones. Fighters like Forrest, Rashad, Kos, and KenFlo have had years to develop their skills and become what they are today. Would you have ever thought Forrest and Rashad would be fighting each other in a title fight judging by their TUF performances? It's pretty early, but I think TUF 5 and TUF 8 contestants will prove to be some of the better fighters to compete on the show. Still, I have to say TUF 1 was the best, as it did give us Forrest, Diego, KenFlo, Kos, and Leben.

Any season without lightweights, I dont understand why the UFC doesnt use the heavier weight classes, the thing with using the LW's is alot of the great talent that has came out of TUF has moved up in weight to compete on the show, they should never do TUF with LW's again the best LW's could make the show at WW.

How can you put 8 at or near the bottom? All of the final 4 LHWs should have a future in the UFC and Efrain and Phillipe will both end up in the UFC. To put this season below season 3, whose best fighters were Bisping, Hammil, Grove (his hype train crashed pretty hard), and Herman, is kinda weird.

No question TUF 1 produced the best fighters.

Season 1 and Season 5 where the best no doubt.
Season 2 kinda blew. I mean Joe Stevenson did well, Rashad and Jardine have done well but other then that it's basically just Marcus Davis.
3 fighters isn't that good.
I mean season 1 had Forrest, Diego, Florian, and Koscheck who are all contenders at their divisions. Swick, Leben, Bonnar, Quarry all those guys are legit MMA fighters.

Agreed.
Another thing I don't get is the lack of HW seasons. HW division is weakest by far, and the only HW season they did coughed out 2 HWs (Rashad and Jardine) who both dropped down to LHW.
I want HW season with guys that wont drop down to lhw instantly. Either all HW or HW + WW -cast would do it, would produce couple LWs too most likely like you said.
