Are the winners of this show going to be considered "Winners"?

Look at it this way, Matt Serra has no striking ability and cant finish a guy worth a crap, he would stand no chance against someone of the likes of Matt Hughes or GSP, if Serra loses, he'll probably be done in the UFC, period. The only thing he has coming to him is an ass kicking and a one way ticket back home. BACK TO LONG ISLAND BABY!

To be honest Lytle is a better match-up for GSP or Hughes, however he doesnt stand a good chance either. He also doesnt have the name like Matt Serra does, so if (when) Lytle loses his title shot, he's DEFINITELY done in the UFC.

As for the middleweights....god help them, that's all I have to say.

Lutter will probably eat a knee and get his ass knocked out and if Cote doesnt get knocked out he's going to get submitted because he has no ground game. Silva is way too well rounded for these guys.

Bottom line is Lytle is the only well rounded fighter of the 4, and Hughes/GSP is twice the fighter he is. They get their hundred grand but are they aware of the ass kicking they are going to receive later down the road?

I dont think they are title contenders but I think Cote has a lot of potential. He is young with good striking ability and great discipline for training. I think he will be a great fighter and possibly a contender after a bit more development.

Agreed.

Lytle; great stand up but no match for GSP or Hughes.

Serra: The guy should be a LW. He gives up WAY too much size and strength to GSP or Hughes

Lutter: Questionable cardio, great ground game but not alot of finishing power with strikes while on the ground but does have good submissions. Did I mention that he has ZERO stand up skills. Definite advantage to Silva in this regard.

Cote: Good stand up, questionable ground and pound, good strength. Still not at the level of a Rich Franklin or Anderson Silva.

Silva: May I offer you a broken nose or a cracked rib?(In Portugese of course)

Cote/Lutter: Just try not tomake it hurt too much, I have a xyience shake waiting on ice for me.

Silva: Very well, have a Kimura to go!

They will be winners in a sense that they won $100,000 and a title shot! They won't be in a sense that thier going up against much stronger opponents and they have to work like bandits! Matt Hughes, A. Silva, and GSP are no joke!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I have to disagree as far as whether or not they will come out ahead or not. First the winners of the show come out 200 grand ahead.

Matt Serra - if he wins the show he will get dismantled in the title match. But, I think after the match he will drop down to LW. LW is a very exciting weight class but right now it is dominated by one-dimensional fighters (which I agree Serra is) and he could easily come back into a title contention spot. If he loses I think he got all the publicity he needs for his gym and he may not come out as negatively as you put it.

Chris Lytle - If he wins he will also get beat handily by whoever has the title. I see a couple of low level fights, depending on how those go he may or may not be in the UFC anymore. If he loses the finals I see him becoming a stepping stone fighter and eventually being put out of the UFC. I think it will really depend on how good of a match he puts up against the champ.

Travis Lutter - pretty much the same as Lytle. Although I don't see him putting up much of a fight with Silva.

Patrick Cote - He's young, even if he gets put out of the UFC he has time to train and better himself and come back stronger.

Yeah, something like that.

if they win on the finale then they are winners in the sense that they won 200 000 dollars. But they are also losers in the sense that they are " has beens" and they stand no chance against silva, gsp, or hughes and once they lose they will never be heard from again and their ufc days will be over.

Lytle is the only fighter on this show that would last the first 2 minutes, and even he has about a snowball's chance in hell. They should put these title fights on free TV, because unless there are aome fantastic undercards I am not paying $40 to see this. And I'm definitely not paying for a ticket.

I like Travis Lutter and I certainly hope he wins, but as someone who has followed Anderson since he was in PRIDE, I know that Anderson has beaten guys with way better game than Lutter. Unless Travis gets really lucky and/or flies to Japan to train with Ryo Chonan, he's got no chance in hell at beating Lutter.

LOL I totally agree with the Serra thing, though. He would be better off in LW.
