As usual good points from Mir and it's good to hear how he views the antics.

come on frank mir is putting a spin on his participation in the show. he told junie to quit then he hoped efran blah blah blah.

he almost didnt let his son watch last two episodes, his wife said.

the guys asked for the itching powder or body bags.

by the way the coaches did allow this

its up to the individuals on what they will or will not do

Frank is trying to get out of all of this
he is talking in circles

Props to Mir, but I wonder if he could get in trouble with Dana over this for trashing the reality aspect of the show.

Thanks for the link. I don't look at his interview as trashing the reality show. I could understand him wanting to set the record straight, that if this indeed was his camp and he was in control, a lot of behavior would not be tolerated. Hearing from him does help put things in perspective.

He seems very intelligent and articulate which makes him easier to relate to. That coupled with his win over Nog will definitely have his naysayers rooting for him.

The new humble Frank Mir

First he did the interview here:

Then he talks to Joe Rogan at the TUF Finale and speaks highly of Nog and even pokes fun at his shortcomings of the past. He sounded like he was fully aware of what is in front of him, and sounded like he was completely dedicated.

I am getting more excited about this fight, I think Mir has more of a chance than people think. But like he hinted, if you want to beat Nog, you have to win a decision, which is not something that plays in to Mir's style.

Frank is a very honest guy, maybe too open, but I'm finding it hard not to like his personality. I just hope his work ethic and conditioning follow up.

This post is what I was thinking. Mir has a better chance of beating Nog than a lot of people give him credit for. I dont necisarilly think he WILL, but he has a chance. I'm on the fence 40/60 for Nog. Frank is a reall classy dude, I'm glad he pointed out that the editing makes htem all look bad in order ot make the show better

Well if this thread is being moved to the TUF forum, can you start a new thread with my last post and it's reply, I didn't start a new thread because this one was already in the general UFC forum. Thanks

If Frank is going to win this beat Nog, it will have to be with a submission. I think Frank knows this too. He does display himself as meticulous and cognisant to his environment. I think Frank is trying to lead others as well as Nog to believe that he (Frank) would try to go the distance, only to take away the attention on his strengths, his submissions.

To me, this match is the main event

suddenly Mir doesn't seem like so much of a meat head.

I will need more interviews of Mir before I make a final decision on him.

He is like Dana White. You like him, then you don't. Then the cycle starts all over again...........
