Dave Kaplan.....what a sad story.

Dave Kaplan should just quit for 6 months, watch some Fedor tapes and then come back.

Watching the fight with Junie, a couple things come into light

1) Kaplan has little head movement.

c'mon man, Junie is no Vitor Belfort or Rashad Evans....but Kaplan's big Tito Ortiz watermelon jug head was sitting there like a big target. Dude...bob and weave...c'mon man, you trained under Ernesto Hoost.

2) Dont believe the hype about Kaplans leg kicks

dude has little flexibility in terms of kicks. Too damn stiff.

3) Protect Your Neck/Head

dammit man.... keep your forearms tucked towards your body rather than leaving them as deadweights

I would like to see him at 145 I think he is kind of small for 155

I am curios what mir saw in him as what he thought was the best. His best just got worked by his worst.

His performance was on par with what I expected, as was Junie's. While Junie won, he still has a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully he will stay at Xtreme Couture.

This got fight of the night!?

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...7785&zoneid=13

This was like the pitty-fvck of awards if I ever saw one....

2 hints for Kaplan. drop to 145 and stop moving like a slug. Junie would land 2 kick and punch combos before Kaplan could even register a reaction!

When he was on top he didn't attempt much? Why didn't he throw some damn punches or elbows?

Junie honestly did look a lot better on his feet but being fed one of the worst fighters in the house didn't help his credibility much. It was a decent opening fight but Fight of the Night is stretching it a bit.

Why waste you time with head movement when you can't be knocked out.
