Pierce vs. Faulkner

What happened? I was really looking forward to this fight. I was hoping to see an ass-kicking, but then they announced the Pearson fight... what gives?

I think Bisbing may have been worried about Faulkner's leg and wanted to give it another couple of days to heal. Since he was picking the fight he decided to have the light weights fight instead. At least that's what I assumed happened.

I dont know what kind of technique was used there, but there was a lot of kicking and punching. Jim Brown

That did look a nasty lump on his shin. How the monkey balls team UK are that shit with a hammer is unbelievable.

Did you see the size of the lump on Daves leg in the trailer for next weeks episode? If it is that big a few days after Ross' fight he couldn't have fought at all.

Plus as the doctor put him on antibiotics for the infection I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been given clearance to fight - if he damaged the localised infection it could spread and become much worse.

At least that's my take on the situation, it could just be that they want to make Pierce panic for a few days longer to completely rule out any desire to fight at all (although he doesn't seem too keen anyway)

Bisping slipped just before Hendo landed a "lucky" punch.*

I thought it was Smart, it allowed Bisping to pick the next 3 fights in a way...

That's a good point, although looking at who's left for the UK, they would be pretty confident even if Hendo was picking them.

Roll on UK

It wouldn't surprise me if Pierce backed out of fighting.

Nah i cant see pierce backing out. i mean why even bother to turn up at all if thats the case. BTW Faulkner can be his own worst enemy at times, he has confidence issues, so when the fight goes ahead, its not a given result for him.

Pierce is a fraud. The lad simply didn't want to fight, he must take us all for retards if he thinks he's fooling anyone.

No, the dude was legit pissed he couldn't fight. I really feel for his plight.

That was honestly probably the worst thing I've ever seen on TUF. I can't believe a dude on that show would pull out of a fight for a shit reason.
