I think if Lawson didn't gas he'd have won easily. I was far from impressed with Dent, he looked really bad. All the best to him though.

Lawson is a genuine guy and I was sad to see he ran out of steam. it happens though and hopefully he'll improve in the future and get another shot.

I pesonally think this season is the worst yet.
really? Well Dent went the distance with Huerta and Tibau, I dont think even the winners of previous seasons (Efrain, Danzig) could do that! Let alone the average bums of those seasons (Richie Hightower, Bowman, Delgardo, john polalski)

I didn't know that. "Went the distance" still doesn't cut it. Im sure Danzing and Efrain have improved since and would kill Dent in a fight.

That choke was not good at all. He basically had a prone non fighting opponent by that point in the fight and it still took him a long time to set it up and to get into position to finish it.

Lawson completely dominated Dent in the first round and if he didn't gas so badly I am sure the second round would have been more of the same.

All in all - that fight sucked hard.

Ha! does it have to be done in haste to be good? IMO a choke that taps the opponent is good. Mind you I said good not great or fanfukingtastic.

Yes - yes it does have to be done in haste (normally). If I took that long setting up a choke on someone they would have tons of time to defend it. Moves like that usually depend on speed setting them up to be successful.

Not the most entertaining fight but the finish was cool. I like that Lawson guy even though i am not really impressed by him as a fighter, he is a cool dude.

If really using technique then it isn't necessarily done in haste as it will be calculated and deliberate.
