Did anyone else notice at UFC 98 when Matt Hughes was walking out to the octagon that Damarques Johnson was standing at his right shoulder?

I seem to have a sketchy memory of a previous TUF finalist being at someones shoulder walking out to an event before the finalists had been shown.

So is this a big hint as to who makes the final?
Or as usual am I just reading something into a situation for dramatic effect?

I seen Frank Lester and Dan Henderson talking to Dana White in the changing rooms on one of Dana's blogs.Maybe he's signed with Dans team? or maybe he won TUF?

I have noticed alot of times the guys on the shows meet and join camps of fighters even if they don't make it. Look at Matt Riddle and Matt Brown from season 7 they were in camps pretty much as soon as they were out. I wouldn't read too much into it though. You can usually tell which guys are gonna be making a name for themselves by how they are on the show.

I noticed it too. I doesn't really mean anything other than he has a future in MMA and potentially UFC, whether he wins TUF or not.

Lawler is always in Matts corner. You'll get Cung in Anthony Johnsons corner and Rafael Feijao in Anderson Silvas corner, I wouldn't draw any conclusions from this. None of those guys are even in the UFC.

I suppose it's because I remember seeing someone else int the same situation who was in the finals (can't remember who for the life of me).

I guess it could just be that his profile is much higher now he can walk out towards the front of the entourage now.

No great shakes anyway, just something I noticed and thought - hmmmmmmm.

Yeah I seen that too. Johnson was picking up Hughes' shoes and socks when Hughes' was taking em off

He's been on TV and has a big pull. And camps take a cut of a fighters pay for fights. Easy way for camps to make money and good way for guys with potential to get better.

I remember seeing kristoff sosiniki (I have no idea how to spell his name) come out and be in someones corner right before he fought in the the semis I thought for sure it meant he would win. I was wrong.
