I actually felt like Dent got screwed by Dana. Before I'm crucified, let me explain.
Prior to his last fight, Dent said he was just going to go in and win. Then he was going to go in and win the next and win the show. Everyone says that and that's the proper mindset.
HOWEVER
Prior to his fight with Ross, Dent came off, to me at least, as completely focused on proving Dana White wrong with his comments about the last fight. Dent really seemed to take it as a mental hit and IMHO it cost him the fight. I don't feel like he fought the same way he did in the previous fight and I know I'm not alone in thinking he could have had a better chance at winning had he decided not to stand and strike with Ross in that particular way. Ignoring Hendo's orders to take him down showed that Dent was focused, just not properly focused.
I just really didn't like the fact that Dana White made those comments about a fight with the fighter still on the show. It was obvious that it affected Dent and could have cost him a six figure contract.
As of late I'm finding myself not pleased with Dana White when it comes to his handling of things. Someone even mentioned today that maybe I'm just thinking back to when it was more about Martial Arts than hyping the fight. I can see that and give that point validation. Maybe it's just me but I don't see how knocking someone who is winning fights is a good thing.
