Dana White was pissed at starting "TUF"?

I have to say I'm a lil surprised by this because I thought it was Dana's idea to start the TUF series.

There are people out there doing a great job making it look like a non-violent sport. Thatís not my job. My job is warfare. Iím over here to (expletive) kill..... Nick Diaz

This is taken out of context. He's about to say he was sold on the idea.

....even if the vid is cut short, the facts appear to be that Dana wasn't the guy behind it.

The UFC's mega growth is directly linked to the success of the TUF series. Makes you wonder who the person/persons was/were that pushed for it.

Did he ever say it was his idea alone?
No one should be surprised that Dana White doesn't call all the shots at UFC.
He's the public face of the company and a powerful man within it, to be sure, but he doesn't run it on his own.

I think it was assumed by anyone with a passing interest in the UFC that Dana was directly behind the creation of TUF.

It's no big deal guy.... just one of those things that takes ya by surprise.

Not surprising seeing as the fighters had to do those ridiculous embarrassing acting scenes to advertise Xyience and Right Guard.
Plus im sure dana does not have full control on who goes in to the house as its obvious a few fighters are planted to provide drama for the show rather then their fighting potential.
If he had full control we would have better fighters but probably a boring "reality show".

It may help bring in new mma fans...but the most of these "fans" will be the meat heads we hear booing if they don't get a rocky style fight.
