I like Nelson. You wouldn't be a dick too if you knew more than your coach and have been fighting for much longer than him? The dude is a former champ.

I don't get why he wasn't signed by the UFC rather than going on this show.

Alot of people were making a big deal out of this-

But to be honest I don't know what we can really take from that.

So if Kimbo dropped to 205, he would magically get something somewhat resembling a ground game? Mmmm, delicious logic.

I said I wanted to fight Zak Jensen and they asked why I wanted to fight him and I was like ‘well he got gogoplata’d by Brad Imes and I think I can Boston-Crab him’. - Roy Nelson

That's funny shit.

While I wouldn't necessarily agree with Nelson's statement that Kimbo would be a "huge threat at 205", I could see why Kimbo could fare better at LHW.

Reason being, there is less wrestling/BJJ going on at LHW, a division mostly dominated by striking (Kimbo's main strength). HW has several strong wrestlers, as well as BJJ fighters, that would give him problems.

Also, props on the photoshop of Hong Man Choi and Fedor picture. lol.

What does Kimbo walk around at? I always thought of him as a decent sized HW until this season of TUF. Would he actually be able to make LHW?

Seems to me Kimbo would have to cut some muscle to make 205. I do want to see him in the ufc though

I think he is about 235. That is a bit small for HW these days, although not out of the question obviously. He probably could make 205 but the HW division is the weakest division so it would make more sense to stay there anyway. Normally I advocate cutting to the lowest possible division for any fighter but if you are a big LHW you might actually be better off as a HW.
