Hughes was doing damage to Penn, unlike Nelson to Kimbo. It's a cheap win, but it's a win. I respect Nelson for his win, but to downgrade Kimbo for being pounded out by a veteran fighter is ridiculous.

Nelson might have weighed even more then that at actual fight time. He came in at 264, im not sure if he had to cut weight or if he just walks around exactly one pound lighter then the limit.

I HIGHLY doubt he just happened to be 264. He definitely cuts. Which made things harder for Kimbo.

Nelson looked like trash.

Rewatch Velazquez vs O'Brien to see that crucifix position used. It basically renders the opponent incapable of doing anything while you throw a thousand super short punches for a stoppage.

Kimbo couldve done nothing but avoided that, but he's simply not good enough.

35 years and still learning? Its over.
A lot of fighters that come out of The Ultimate Fighter get to fight in the UFC. Most of them don't have the skill to be in the UFC. I believe Kimbo is better than a lot of the other guys that get in just from being on the show. He has potential.

Kimbo is a joke in MMA. In a fight, he's good. But in an MMA match, he's hopeless. His TUF fight was worthless, it was an 8 minutes I coulda used shaving my balls, or something else more exciting than watching a fat guy dry hump the manegy face of some hobo. I've never liked Kimbo but he is a big name, especially with middle schoolers that think he's a badass, so he will be a good draw for the UFC. Granted, he won't win TUF so he won't get his big contract. But did Krystoff Sosynski, or however you spell it, win? And he's had 3 or 4 fights otherthan the finale and he will never be half the draw that manegy bearded hobo is. Kimbo sells ticket. Love him or hate him, you will watch him. Either to watch him become a great fighter. Or to watch him be murdered inside the octagon. I for one, would love to see his televised execution inside the octagon. I hate the tard.

Man, I wouldn't go as far as saying he is a joke. Kimbo didn't ask to be famous, which lead to him being on the ultimate fighter. He got famous off of his fans. The people that watch his videos put him on the show. He may be a one dimensional fighter right now. But he was showing some decent TDD. Other than the knee he threw which cost him the fight. That was a tough match for Kimbo. I think he did well enough for what he was working with. Everyone is talking shit about him like it's his fault he is on the show. Nobody talked shit about how bad Rob Emerson is. That dude isn't a good fighter. He has a punchers chance. BUT, he was respectful on the show and that is why Dana let him fight. Kimbo is obviously a very respectful guy. It's not like he is bragging about his skills. I expect him to be 3 times better in the finale.

Some pent up frustration here? A little beard-jealous?

Personally, I find Kimbo to be far more exciting than anybody I've seen so far on this season. He may not have all the necessary skills but the guy has deadly hands and at least shows a willingness to work and learn. As someone said in another thread, it seemed like Kimbo had one of those moments where everything you learned in training just leaves you and you're left helpless. I hope he gets brought back on personally. I still don't think he'll win the contract but I definitely want to see some more of Kimbo in the UFC.

Not jealous of the mange on his face, and no pent up frustration. I've never like him from his youtube days. Solidx, he did ask to be famous, whyelse post fights with random homeless guys on the internet?

Why all the hate for Kimbo?? he seemed a decent person and was willing to learn. He is still a big draw because he has a great knockout punch on him. Chuck Liddell was the most loved fighter in his glory days after knocking out Tito and Randy because he was exciting to watch and had a knockout punch. Kimbo would have beaten anyone else on Rashads team and was unlucky that he drawed the guy with the most experience.
