Ultimate Fighter TVFor the eighth season, UFC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and top heavyweight contender and former Champion, Frank Mir will train and coach fighters in the Lightweight and Light Heavyweight divisions.
That whole set is inside a big old hanger. There's no ceilings at all! Just a bunch of prefabricated partitions that they can take down and put up quick and easy when they need to. Just like the type of shit they use at trade shows. There's no way that whole building belongs to the UFC all year round. They just whip out the TUF lego set and prop it up in about 3 days flat I bet!
So, yes the door is supposed to be like that. If that scene was a set up then Rampage is a better actor than I thought!
If it was a set-up, Dana could have replaced it with some mahogany shit to f*ck with him! Send him to the A-Team set with a busted wrist.
I think that door is going to come back stronger than before. At least it lasted longer against Rampage than Wes Sims lasted against Justin Wren.
LOL!!! Disappointingly, talking about the door is more fun than discussing the fights. To me, each TUF Season 10 episode is like taking a laxative and a sleeping pill at the same time...waking up to results...EVERY TIME!

Reason: misspelled word
I think the door was legit, but I think it was very convinient how a camera man just happened to be around the corner from the action, had his camera pointed in the direction rampage was storming off from, and just happened to be filming.

Its kinda no brainer to follow an emotional guy like Rampage after (and during) fights. Plus there is so many cameramen all filming same time that its not really a surprise couple of them caught the Rampage vs. Door fight.

when rampage rips the door down thats deffinatly the highlight. but its weird cause he was laughing then he goes and takes out a door? didnt really understand it. You think that Rampage's last fighter is gunna win 1?
Last episode pretty much showed it wasn't staged... They just have cheap, standard doors.
My dad owns a construction company and I've worked for them over the last four summers. A VAST majority of interior doors are just foam wrapped in laminated cardboard.
Having been through two court required, state approved anger management classes (don't judge me), I believe I have had a little experience in tearing down a door. The TUF door last night seemed to break away a bit too easy...kinda like a Hollywood prop. Rampage's foot when right through as did the initial punch...once right through...no shards wood or customary splintering, just chunks and pieces of no real substance...and no cuts on Rampage.
I'd think any gym dedicated arguably some of the most well conditioned athletes on the planet, would put a little more "oomph" in the construction and design...then maybe American workmanship really has significantly declined.
That's pretty standard cheap disposable inner door right there. Thin pressboard on the outside and cardboard/foam stuffed inside. Go to your local low-end newly-built office building and you can put your foot thru most inner doors just as easily.
Honestly I think the fact that it's a reality show about badass athletes in a combat sport, coupled with the fact that someone already broke a door dowen in a previous season (among many other things) there's a very good reason to NOT buy the high-end stuff.

I stand humbly corrected and clearly its been awhile since I've been mad enough to open a door without using the door knob (okay so I didn't have a key either...stop judging me).
Thanks for the point of view there, its always good to hear from people who aren't under court orders or medication.
