Ultimate Fighter TVFor the eighth season, UFC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and top heavyweight contender and former Champion, Frank Mir will train and coach fighters in the Lightweight and Light Heavyweight divisions.
How many think Rampage's failure as a coach has to do with Juanito's absence?
i think it has 95% to do with it i thought Rampage was at least going to have assistance from the wolfs lair but i guess they didnt want the same trainers from last season so they were left with clueless Rampage and Tiki the follower
Yeah good point, Juanito seemed to do a lot of the coaching last time, with rampage occasionally offerring 'funny' dialogue. This time around Tiki just seems to be Rampage's lapdog who laughs at his jokes. Poor show all round.
Do we have any reason to dislike Juanito other than what Rampage has said? It seems clear Juanito > Tiki anyway.
Well after learning a lot more about Rampage since this season started I'm guessing Juanito may not have been the bad guy he made him out to be... This Tiki guy seems to be a bit of a joke though, I know editing has a huge part to play in all of this, but seriously, there's only so much it can do...

I just think the whole thing is hilarious when it comes to Juanito, I mean Rampage left him because he said he wasn't there for him after the Forrest loss but then Rampage comes on TUF and does the exact same thing, F**** Rampage.
Tiki is a dummy. I read somewhere that he challenged Rashad to a fight in the parking lot, not sure if its true but go for it Tikster.

yeah, i guess the real dif is that Ibarra is actually a coach and Rampage has been pretty forward about 'being a fighter, not a coach', even on his first season.
that and RE: Juanito... the complaint was more than about 'being there for him'. Rampage accused him of ripping him off in a number of ways, like making him pay twice as much for Page's time at the Team Punishment facility, and supposedly pocketing the difference.
Rampage's failure this season comes from his poor fight making. With the right fights I think he could have easily had 3 fighters in the quarters. If he put Kimbo against Mitrione, Demico against someone other than Schaub, instead he used his first fight to put in a guy with no ground game against a wretler, Demico actually impressed me he just got caught in a submission that Schaub regularly tries in his fights (watch some of his fights, he goes for the anaconda a lot so he must train it well). To be honest the rest of it is down to his poor selection of fighters.
