MMA is progressing and getting more fighters and the more fighters there are the more prone it is to having more gay fighters. That is really the only argument you got with that. He had a point and you had a point before that but this kinda pushes it too far.

Yes having gay fighters is indicative of progress in a sport that has rampant homophobia (like many sporting environments do). It has nothing to do with numbers, it has to do with acceptance.
His argument was GAY FIGHTERS = PROGRESS LOLOLOL.
Its about the dumbest response I could think of. It assumes that I'm implying that progress is limited entirely to an increase in gay fighters. Obviously it isn't and I didn't imply that in anyway. I just used it as one way in which the sport has progressed. It's a positive thing in my opinion because it shows a positive, accepting, and respectful image to the general public. I would also say that fighters like GSP et al are a great example of the sports recent progress because of how much mutual respect they always show to other fighters. His counterpoint was excellent and valid though you're right.
