+1 to your Douche scale. How many points you got on there??? A guy like you... i would expect alot.

Ty for the tom-dan joke... could have gone without it but i guess unless you make an ass out of yourself you really wouldn't be happy.

Anyway
back to talking to people that are actually worth talking to.

You guys cant tell me you didnt have some suspicion about him being gay.? I could be wrong "obviously" which is why i asked seeing what everyone else thinks about it.
Not much of a sense of humor? :dunno:

I think he has some of the mannerisms that are stereotypically associated with gay guys but life experience has taught me that those mean nothing, and neither do his jokes either. Until I see him kissing his life partner or something I reserve judgement.

Reserve judgment on what? If he's gay he's gay, if he isn't he isn't, it doesn't make a difference either way and he wouldn't be the first gay MMA fighter.

What's really topic worthy is how bad he choked in his last fight. Got the W but still, jeesh.

Do I think he is? Possibly.

Do I give a ****? No.

Homophobia is the new racism and it pisses me off. I'm not gay myself (MARRIED!) but it really peeves me when people are asking if people are gay... it's the same exact thing as racism to me. I know you guys probably don't give a shit if he is or not but it's just a peeve with me.

In other words, carry on but keep it clean and know that this thread travels a fine line, I'm entrusting you as members to keep it on the track it's on right now.

Asking if someone is gay is "the exact same thing as racism"? That's political correctness gone silly. It is just a natural curiosity to wonder about someones sexuality. I personally can't stand it when people jump all over the moral high ground at the merest whiff of homophobia (such an easy thing to do), whilst feeling the need to tell everybody at the top of their voice "I'm not gay!!!". Smacks of hypocrisy to me.

Il start with, this isnt an insult towards you, but i gotta ask some questions about what you just posted.

Why does it peeve you if people ask if someone is gay?? And how is that the same as racism?? If someone hates "gays" then i could see it being the same as racism. But if someone is just curious about someones sexual preference why is that the same as hating someone based on their ethnicity or skin color?? iv asked people what their ethnicity is before... wouldnt that be closer to being the same thing as asking someone if their gay or not rather then racism??
The way I see it is it shouldn't matter unless you want to hit on him. I wasn't saying you WERE being racist but I was saying that threads like this have the potential to explode very, very quickly so I was simply saying to keep doing what you're doing and keep it the way it is. It's a very fine line that threads like this travel and the majority of them cross it. To reiterate, I wasn't saying you were doing anything wrong, simply advising that someone might come in and blow a decent discussion all to hell and if someone DOES come in and do something like that then I have to close it if it's not dealt with in a swift way. Was in no way attacking you or anyone in this thread man :)

This isnt an attack on you... im just curious. Also yeah i agree.. i hope no one comes in here spewing their hatred or w/e. I have nothing against gay people and it wasnt my intention to put gay people on blast when i made this thread. I more just ask because you dont see gay/feminine dudes in the UFC or MMA for that matter. As far as i know there is only 1 openly gay fighter correct?
The only one I could think of is the dude that Herring destroyed in his stare down. Forget his name. Curiosity is okay but all too often it leads to worse things. If Nick wins TUF and then comes out openly I guarantee this board and a whole shit load of MMA sites will filled with hate about it from fans. That's all I'm trying to say is that a lot of times curiosity leads to hate (not necessarily from you).

EDIT: Also, what Toxic said. My wife works with 3 gay dudes. Two of which I NEVER would've known had they not said it to me themselves. The other is pretty flamboyant so he was kind of obvious but the other two are guys I get along with really well and have a lot of the same interests and attitudes as I do.

You can't really judge people on how they act anymore, acting gay is the new black. My wife has two guys she works with one I instantly thought had to be gay and thought so for months until we went to a party at the house of one girl she works with and I discover she is engaged to the "gay" guy. I was surprised. The second guy seemed completely normal I sat drinking beer at the bar and joking with him one night for about an hour. At the same house party he suddenly looks at the home owners brother (who was very flamboyantly gay) and comments that he is gay and that the brother was to gay for him. I was surprised the gay guy was straight the straight dude was gay. Metro sexuality and the growing acceptance of homosexuality (they aren't as pigeon wholes anymore and are more likely to have straight freinds)has made it very difficult to tell.

Gay and Camp are two different things. Is he gay? Maybe... who cares? Is he camp? Feck yes... and quite funny too!

Camp is never an accurate guide to somebodies sexuality. Camp chaps are commonly assumed to be gay. Big mistake. Two of the campest fellows I know are fecking babe magnets. Mick Jagger was one of the campest motherfukers ever for fecks sake!

Having said all that... his name is Nick Ring... which is kind of funny in a dumb homophobic idiot kind of way.

Last I checked, we don't need any homophobia in this thread, or anywhere. I have yet to see any in this thread, after the appropriate intervention by staff.

I don't care if Nick Ring is gay or not. I do know that I would pay $$$$ to hear him do dramatic readings of various songs that I pick. I'd start with Lenny Kravitz's more Seussical efforts.

So here I am, it’s late and I am now happy and feeling good about my massage. My lower back is feeling good and it is definitely thanking me and I go to the washroom to brush my teeth and get ready for bed and McCray and Yager decide it is time for them gang up on me and "have a talk".

From their bedroom, McCray loudly asks me a loaded question that goes a little bit like "Hey Ring, Why would you get a massage from a dude at 3 AM?" I knew exactly where he was trying to go with this one so I thought **** it – I’ll play, so I answered "because I’m a big queer".

They started laughing hard in disbelief at my remark, and I walked into their room and leaned my shoulder up against the doorway while I flossed my teeth.

I knew that my reply would likely take most of the wind out of their sails but being the couple of Neanderthals they are, they relented by saying that I’m standing gay and tried telling me that I need to change my posture blah blah blah. I just thought it was funny so just poured it on more until they dropped it…

I didn’t realize how funny that would actually look on camera, but I was just kind of doing my thang. Me and my friends always joke around like this and I guess some people aren’t used to that, I got labelled a queer in the house pretty fast due to some of the shit that comes out of my mouth hahaha. I wasn’t really too bothered by it though, I know who I am and my friends back home know me and will just laugh about it anyway.

All I can say is that some people look intimidating and some don’t and I guess I fall into the second category. But then again, I don’t spend a lot of time trying to look hardcore like a lot of MMA fighters, I been doing this long enough to realize that there are two types of guys out there. There are the guys who act tough and then there are guys who are tough. Acting tough and being tough are two completely different things and when I got into the house it didn’t take me to long to figure out who was going to be tough and who was just posing.

Hes as gay as aids.

Just kidding, I hope he gets to the final. I like him and Noke.

Sounds like his knee is in really bad shape, no wonder he looked under par. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't fight in the house again. It's a shame 'cause he's probably one of the top guys there.

Asking if he is gay hopmophobic? is everyone else that implying this heterophobic then?wtf?he just asked something that has crossed everyone's mind, what's wrong with that?why don't we treat words like black, poor or even old the same way when they are characterizing someone? don't they constitute prejudice of some sort? sometimes i think we have lost all sense of logic...
