Ultimate Fighter TVFor the eighth season, UFC Heavyweight Champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and top heavyweight contender and former Champion, Frank Mir will train and coach fighters in the Lightweight and Light Heavyweight divisions.
I don't know why they are doing a lightweight division season, the lightweight division is really good as is and if the guys are losing to Spencer Fisher, how are they supposed to compete with the rest of the division, all of which is on that level. The UFC lightweight roster just looks too good for this to make sense:
Melvin Guillard
Sean Sherk
Spencer Fisher
Kenny Florian
Hermes Franca
Mark Hominick
Duane Ludwig
I mean, I wouldn't complain with having another competitor on this level, but shouldn't they be looking for more power and publicity in the heavyweight division? That just makes more sense to me.

how could you forget gomi is coming to the ufc?????
bj is dropping down too...
lightwieghts are full of action standing and on the ground, and the lighterwieghts have increased with massive knockout power that only the big guys had, i like the fact that lighter guys are getting some of the spotlight
Tyson Griffin is the one to watch in the LW division. If he is on the show, which I hope not because he is SO above that show, he will win hands down, no questions asked. He will walk through all 15 fighters if he has too. Oh and Gomi isn't confirmed to fight in the UFC. I doubt its gonna happen. Why would the UFC want to market Gomi to the U.S. as a PrideFC fighter? That would be a HUGE business mistake for the UFC. It WILL NOT happen, guaranteed.
