Why was there a 3rd round? (Bryant - McCray)

2 judges had it 30-27 McCray, which means after the first 2 rounds he would have had a majority decision, right?

Because Cecil's 29-28 would indicate he would've had it a draw after 2...

God, pay attention.. The semi's always have 3 rounds, even if the judges score it 100-0 :sarcastic12:

Btw, anyone else felt Bryant should've gotten the win? :confused05:

Nope, Brant got owned in the 3rd but I think it easily would have made sense to have it one round a piece after the second. Octagon control is big and McCray really did nothing in the second to try and enorce his will and stay off the cage.

Bryant definitely lost. Mccray's technique wasn't pretty, but boy does that kid got heart.

Bryant had the skills to easily win that fight, but lacks something mentally. He has good, heavy hands, solid wrestling, decent ground control, but the guy just doesn't apply himself, or is an abysmal strategist. He played right into the pal of Kris' hand. He was tagging McCray pretty good with those shots, but the problem is, he never really threw them. He sat back and waited too much for whatever reason.

I like McCray, but the guy looks like crap every time he fights. He has poor technique, bad cardio, and has a pretty small reach. He beat Kyle Noke who had horrible takedown defense and just bad wrestling altogether. Plus, the fact that Mazzagatti was refereeing the fight didn't help. Kyacey Uscola just sucks. And now Bryant. Court is going to maul Kris in the finale if he can coutner his LnP tactics.

Good point. I forgot about that. That's actually pretty insane. The whole time, Kris just had one week off. Still though, I've honestly never been that impressed with McCray other than the fact that he's pretty tough and can take a good punch. He's got crazy heart, and if he developed and polished his skills, I'm sure he could be a decent mid-tier guy in the Middleweight division.
