Brad Tavares...

...in my opinon, is still the "best" fighter on this seasons TUF. Though he is the youngest, he appears to be the most well-rounded fighter excelling at striking and probably the best TDD. He was choked out by Court in his final fight, but only after two consecutive groin shots. After one or two of those, your brain automatically focuses on defending that region which effects your defense. Not taking anything away from Court because I'm a big fan of his as well and hopes he knocks Kris' block off, but I think that fight would have ended differently had Tavares been %100. Not butt hurt about it tho, cause I am confident Tavares WILL have a successful UFC career.

WAR TAVARES!
war court too!

I'm just glad to see Court win the whole thing. It's nice to see the nice guy finish first for once.

Agreed. Courts a badass. Looking forward to his future fights.

The guy gave Court a great fight, but I think a lot of that was from having two easy wins to get to the semi's. Court and Brad fought the same guys and Court did a hell of a lot better than Brad against James and Seth. Court also took on the number one guy Nick Ring and was jobbed, I think Court might have ended Rings career with his shaking knee and a third round.

It amazes me that people trash this season because it was so close. Iron sharpens Iron, the best UFC fighters come from close TUF seasons and this was the 2nd closest TUF season ever (behind 5).

My end of the season rankings

1. Court
2. Rich
3. Josh
4. Brad
5. Kris
6. Kyle
7. Nick
8. Jamie
9. Chris
10. Seth
11. Clayton
12. Kaycey
13. Joe
14. James
15. Charlie

Tavares was 100% and he landed a groin shot too. I don't think he'll be anywhere near main card status anytime soon. His striking isn't too sharp and his grappling doesn't look too good either. He's gonna get taken down and pounded on by any decent MMA wrestler right now. He relies on his chin too much which will cost him a fight sooner or later. That said he's still very young and has 10+ years to go in MMA. Lots of time to improve.

Brad Tavares has bags of potential and might be a big deal in the UFC if he trains well and keep improving. He should do some training with BJ Penn, both being from Hilo and all. He also compares to BJ in a lot of ways. He has that same granite chin, great athletic abilities, and fights cause he loves it more than anything. Brad is easily my favourite guy from the show, and i'll keep an eye on him.

Yes, but but he took 2 groin shots right b4 being taken down for the first time the entire season. I don't understand how you think his striking isn't sharp? I didn't see a better technical striker all season, though he might not have the KO power of Court.

Tavares and Court are the only 2 on the season who i predict will have a decent UFC run (emphasis on 'decent'), but neither will be causing major waves in their division.

I think the talent on this season was far superior to the HW's (try not to think about that one too much, though i still get Mitrione v Junk nightmares) but unfortunately i doubt it has has unvieled any serious contenders.

Still though, glad to see Court win.

Oh, and i think Court is the superior fighter to Tavares, and i doubt the groin shots played any part in the conclusion. It just seems Tavares gassed and became overwhelmed by Courts power to me.

Great Kid. He's young and has a great attitude. I think he does well in the UFC. Same for McGee.
Just give them time.
