How did you guys like the 1st episode? Damn what a comeback from that mohawk dude. He was completely gassed!

The wildcard fight comes later after they get into the house I believe. One fighter I was def NOT impressed with was the Black Foot Indian guy with the red mohawk...He had zero cardio.....a heart the size of my head but zero cardio.....Bruce Leroy looks like he has some skills but the mentality of a 5 year old......Maybe a lil ADHD lol.....Plenty of drama is in our near future lol

first reaction was "why is henle fighting at 155" but he did much more in his first fight then henle did last season, could easily be a sleeper. I honestly wonder do guys like him, or paulo thiago, just have no fear when the fight as a result of their day job, or is it like a vacation or something.

GSP got two over on Koscheck in that episode. Conning him into picking his buddy first so he could pick the best guy, like Hughes did to Franklin with Gurgel once upon a time. And, of course, then the fight. I thought cardio was going to play a role since they were making us so aware of that angle, but didn't see a problem with that anywhere even though it only went into the second, where it really turned around.

Seeing Lentz take a swing at Paige in the seasonal previews means I guess he doesn't make the wildcard fight and he's the first guy out.

I don't like Leeroy's chances in the long run but man was it fun to watch him win.

Some of Koscheck's choices were bad...

Sevak over Brookins :confused02:
Sako over McKenzie :confused02:
Phan over Watson :confused02:

I understand people don't want to make choices based solely on records but god damn those where some questionable picks.

is it just me or does leroy just seem like another jager? Flashy kicks lots of talk annoying not much else. Not impressed at all by his fight and i don't think he will go too far. Had jeff used more crisp striking with strait punches instead of sloppy haymakers he probably would have koed him.

Had Jeff just stayed on his feet he would have won, I'm not sold on the kid and now anyone who faces him knows to just hold him up against the cage and beat him. LeeRoy is fighting at the wrong weight, he should drop down to Bantam Weight.

Episode 2 Recap

Here is a recap of episode 2.

TUF 12 – GSP Vs Kos – Episode 2 Recap – Teams Picked
By: Keith Grienke
Welcome to Episode 2 of Perfect Good Guy vs Perfect Bad Boy. The TUF coaches will pick their teams tonight!
Jeffrey Lentz starts off smoking and doing a couple shots, while Bruce Leroy tells tales of killing alligators and getting his ass whupped by a deer to open the show.
Kos and GSP are contemplating their picks. GSP creates a fake list with Marc Stevens on top with the intention of Kos seeing it and wasting his pick on a guy GSP does not want. It looks like KOS bites as he takes Marc Stevens first. Now, GSP gets to pick the first fight and gets Michael Johnson who he wanted first. Unfortunately, there is a last pick and Dane Sayers is the last guy picked.
GSP says he is his teams training partner and his coaches, Greg Jackson and John Danaher will be his team’s co-coaches. GSP picked says that he picked guys that he can help.

Jeffrey Lentz
Koscheck says he has an advantage because he was in the TUF house. He brought Bob Cook with him to coach with Daniel Cormier and Teddy Lucio.
First fight is chosen: Jeffrey Lentz vs Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres. This was a fight that Alex chose and not St-Pierre. Koscheck thinks it is a good fight for Team Koscheck. Koscheck is concerned about Lentz cigarette use but says he trains hard.
Alex Caceres has a Bruce Lee outfit that he will be wearing to the fight. Meanwhile, Lentz is concentrating on his fight with a smoke in the backyard. Alex thinks Bruce Leroy is a joke, but Alex thinks deep down inside Jeffrey is intimidated. Alex will be smiling the whole fight. This cat does not look nervous at all. He just enjoys fighting.
Jeffrey Lentz vs Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres
R1. Kicks by Caceres to start the fight. Lentz pushes Caceres against the fence and lands some solid knees. Round half over and Caceres finally gets back off cage briefly. Lentz still lands occasional knees but there is not much action. Lentz picks him up and Caceres locks a Guillotine on. Takedown by Lentz but Caceres gets right back up. Herb Dean finally breaks them up and the two exchange kicks again. Lentz and Caceres throw hard and Lentz lands a good right that makes Alex stumble and Lentz follows with a throw to en the round. Top MMA News scores the round 10-9 for Jeffrey Lentz.

Alex "Bruce Leroy" Caceres
In between rounds, Lentz screams “I got you buddy” across the cage at Caceres.
R2. More kicks by Caceres but Lentz seems more methodical and lands more. Lentz pushes Caceres against the fence again. Caceres takes Lentz down but Lentz reverses and gets top position. In full guard, Alex gets Lentz in a Triangle. Lentz tries to slam out but Caceres locks it on tighter and Lentz taps out.
Winner: Alex “Bruce Leroy” Caceres by Triangle Choke in Round 2
Dana White is happy Bruce Leroy won. He likes his personality.
Next week’s episode: Bruce Leroy goes too far with his celebration and one fighter says he is glad that Jeffrey stabbed Caceres in the eye with a knife (WTF?) and Mike Tyson drops by.

GSP's strategy for picking the fighters.

I thought that was a pretty slick move by GSP to mess with Kos and get him to pick Stevens instead of Johnson first. When I first seen it going down I was like "No way Kos is going to fall for that" but he did, and ended up picking Stevens as his first. Def a great strategy on GSP's part and a great way to get into Kos's head, and he didn't even know it.

I think they will run through him anyway.....The guy doesnt seem to have a killer instinct. He seems to want to show off and play the whole time. Anybody could have gotten out of that triangle. It was loose and with the wrong leg to begin with. Keep it standing with Leroy and you will pick him apart . . . . And it looks like we get our first fight next episode with Leroy talking shit after the fight.

GSP throwing Kos off like that was "slick" for sure.....see what I did thur? .....But he did get stuck with the red mohawk indian guy. He is the weakest for sure I see GSP waiting till the last fight or so to throw him in there to work on his cardio a lil.....But as soon as Kos gets to pick I see him being thrown in with Stevens

I'm wondering if St. Pierres strategy to get Michael Johnson will end up paying off. Johnson seems talented, but his record is 8-4 with all of his losses coming by submission. That shows an obvious lack of submission defense, and there are guys in the house that know how to utilize that to their advantage. I'm guessing St. Pierre will emphasize on that when coaching.
