Not much else you can do with a guy who has no power, poor technique, poor cardio and one really great move.

The plan was actually working until he gassed.

An alternative solution would be to try to use his long reach to Jab Phan to death and force him to shoot. But I think Nam Phan's striking would be too complete not to overcome that.

He had a perfect game plan and easily won the first round he just didn't have the cardio period. Had nothing to do with his arms gassing out, he just isn't in professional MMA shape.

I usually don't think much of guys who have such significant holes in their game after 10 or 11 fights but Cody showed some real intelligence in his other fights. I think if he worked really hard on his cardio and striking he could actually turn out half decent. Obviously he has to spend a LOT of time on the bike though.

Well with 10 or 11-0 there's obviously something

but good technique will use less energy, as long as McKenzie doesn't work his stand up skills (and general cardio, obviously), he'll gas

Today it comes down to how smart he is and how much he wants it. if he's willing to sacrifice and work his ass off, he could pull it out.

He's fought other nobody's and thats why he's got some wins. As soon as he steps up and fights a UFC fighter did they sign him? Amusing they did he should lose his first fight.

Well he already had one fight in the UFC at the TUF finale and won. Admittedly it was against fellow TUF loser Wilkinson.

That's actually one thing from Cody I'm waiting to see, is his guillotine choke performed by GSP as he said he "learned it" from him.
