At first I was pissed off since JDS would have to wait forever to fight, but the more I think about it the more I like it. I've been curious to see what kind of dude JDS is since i'm a huge fan so no better way than a season as a TUF coach?

As for Brock, my instinct tells me he'll be half acting/half being himself at best. Personally, I think he's a pretty arrogant douche most of the time so maybe TUF will change that perception, although I won't be holding my breath.

I wonder what choreographed beefs they'll have Brock and JDS start with each other.

I'm glad they didn't use Heavywieights for the contenders this time, god another season of 45 second gas tanks would kill me.

Overall it'll be an interesting watch, as for the fight, it's one of those I won't even hazzard a guess on, but figured it would happen at some point in time.

I guess we finally get to see the coaches do pure coaching instead of spending half their time pranking each other and trying to get into each others' heads. At least that's what I hope we'll see, with the UFC and Spike being what they are I'm pretty sure they'll gimmick up some beefs for ratings. The coach rivalries can be pretty funny at times but after a while it does get a bit old.

Going to agree with this one, it simply states what I am thinking. If Brock manages to beat JDS, I will take back most of what I said about Brock and recognize him as a legitimate UFC HW Contender. But I still think he belongs with the currently lower rung guys like Schaub, Cro Cop, Barry, Carwin and Nelson because it compares with his skill level imo. In fact I would like to see Nelson vs Lesnar, I think it would be very interesting and close. But I doubt the UFC wants their biggest cash machine restarting at the bottom and fighting someone like Mostapha al-Turk to regain his confidence. Brock needs Assistant Coaches that are better than he is if he wants his team to win TUF. Still dunno why its a WW cast instead of a LHW or HW one.

Will be interesting, BUT, how on earth does Brock get a rematch after 1 win for a fight he got smashed to bits in!!??

Ah well, lucky I think JDS will beat him, so it shouldn't matter too much anyways.

Wow, Brock gets hardly any respect here.

Ever since coming into the UFC Brock has fought guys with more talent, more experience and more skill. It never stopped him from being champion.

I recall before the Cain fight a lot of people were writing off both Cain and Junior. Brock was beat up in the fight against Cain because he got caught with more than a few massive shots, but Cain was also injured by one bull rush. Had Brock kept his composure (better yet avoided that first punch) it may have been a different fight.

Brock has plenty of time to improve, hell he has been doing nothing but improve since first joining the UFC. To write Brock off as having no chance against the likes of Junior is silly.

We are talking about heavyweights. A 250+ pound guy who punches another 250+ guy first has the advantage. OR if a heavyweight can put his weight on a guy and bring him down and control the fight has the advantage.

I have to say this is a interesting fight. Brock improved big time after his first loss to Mir, and adapted, and I have no doubt that he has the ability to do the same against Junior. He will improve on his striking, I guess the question really is how much?

The other question is will it matter on the feet as Junior does not have the same pedigree as Cain in terms of wrestling. If Brock takes it to the ground Junior will have it pretty tough.

For ratings, this will be the highest rated TUF show ever. That is the only thing that is guaranteed.

Brock gets this match simply because he is the biggest draw in the HW division, there is no one in the HW division deserving to face JDS right now, including Brock. Since JDS has asked for a match though, who else do you give? every fighter is either on a 1 win streak or already lost, so you give it to your biggest draw.

JDS asked for it, and I hope Brock wins!

Who is more deserving to fight JDS though (injuries aside)? Brock is still a top 5 UFC heavyweight, and everyone else is either injured or paired up.

JDS can't sit on the sidelines for 8 months, and of course people have always wanted to see this fight (remember if Brock won he would have had to fight JDS anyway).

I mean would for a TV show Brock will bring ratings no doubt, but that should not discount him from being a legit contender at heavyweight, even after the loss to Cain.

He might not have a wealth of technical knowledge, however he knows how to run a team, he knows how to deal with the pressure of the spotlight, he knows how to wrestle, and he knows how to weight cut among other things. And most importantly, just like Tito he knows the value of a good work ethic.

JDS has not faced anyone with takedowns even close to level of a Lesnar or Cain, and only slow plodding Nelson really pushed the takedown against him. Lesnar was able to take Cain down twice on 4 attempts, so IMO the question isn't whether JDS can stop the takedowns in an extended fight, it's can he get back up once he does get taken down.
