Saw a few threads talking about this season. I wanted a thread just for play by play and general chit chat!:thumb02:

all these competitors i must say are disgustingly shite, i am hoping mr beardface and myle jurys replacement are good fighters though. chris cope and javier were both stupid and crap fighters imo

This may be the first season where the fights are far beneath the house and coaching drama. Yet two episodes in and I'm sort of loving this season. Coming in people were acting like Brock would be one of the worst coaches, the way things are going when this is over he may be the best. I mean Brock Lesnar voice of honesty and reason :sign04: who saw that coming.

Tonight's episode broke down an ethical question, which is worse breaking the rules (in the ring)or acting an Ass(in the ring). Chris Cope was breaking the rules the entire time in the clinch, he was going low against Javier many times and yet I have no sympathy for Javier. Maybe it was the taunting, maybe it was the way he was acting like he was asking Chris to kick him in his upper leg, or Maybe it was the way he kept trying to hold Cope against the cage....but man did it feel good to see him lose.

I don't know who was more pissed off hothead Dana White, "inhuman" Brock Lesnar or formerly known as MMA's Gandhi Herb Dean. When you anger the Herb you should at the very least get put on a potential serial killer list or become a member of the Insane Clown Posse it takes a special kind of Jack Ass to piss off my favorite ebony Amish man.

And yet while I've grown to hate these fighters I can't help but still like Dos Santos. Santos is just this giant man child who has a coach out of Othello and a team that feels like they've already won the competition because they are team Brazil.

was so glad to see Chris win, but man he is not that great a fighter... those knees in the clinch... looked horrible.

Brock looked like a really good coach when they were drilling wrestling, i was impressed. and i found it funny, JDS's coach who knew Chris was like just put him against the fence and takedowns youll win, he cant handle it.... and hmm got 1 take down that chris stood up pretty quickly!

I have yet to see the episode (can't watch live here), but I really do think people don't give Brock enough credit.

he sounds like a fairly smart (not "doctor smart", more like "life smart" and "good person smart") dude.

Nice!.. Last week when JDS's team was celebrating Brock told them not to listen to them and continued to motivate his men even this week before the fight. Even when he was almost sure Chris will lose.

But JDS's training coach was Imo demotivating the fighters with harsh words, just because they lost.. He didn't only did that.. his stupid sense of pumping up Javier actually caused him to underestimate his opponent.

I liked the ending.. Brock Lesnar is proving to be a very good coach.. JDS is a nice guy.. but he should take things a bit too seriously.

JDS puts his other coach back in line next episode. From what I've seen so far, I would rather have Brock coaching me then JDS's partner.

Many people also thought along the lines, how can Brock coach? he is new to MMA. You can already see him doing a good job coaching with what he knows, wrestling.

Cope won that fight by being a dirty fighting piece of shit. I counted noless than 3 knees to the balls (only one pig which the ref even counted) and a we shitload of fence grabbing. He even grabbed the fence once and used it for leverage to pull himself forward to throw an elbow! Seriously hope he gets smashed by someone.

Glad Keon pulled out, beacuse a buddy that I played College football with is going to replace him.

His name is Justin Edwards. He's 5-0 as a pro. He's fought once in Bellator, a win over John Troyer. He Won a 4 man 1 night King of the Cage tournament. He also has a thirty second KO over Josh Rafferty, who was on the first season of the Ultimate Fighter.

It's uncanny how much he looks like Randy Couture. Seriously he looks like a younger thinner Natural.

Anyways I hope he wins the show.

Keon is an idiot, and I know what it is to be far from your family for a long time without being able to call. Time is time, it passes

But when his little girl turns 16 and she wants to buy a sh*tload of stuff he can't afford because he's just a nobody trying to make it to the end of the month, he'll remember and think "man, I wish I gave it a shot"

quitting with this attitude is almost a 100% guarantee he'll never make a living out of it, let alone a comfortable life.

if he cared that much for his daughter, he'd have stayed because this is a life changing experience, if you can hold your own on TUF even if you don't win it, you still have a decent chance of making it into the octagon.

he'll never be in the octagon now, moron if you have these emotional ***** problems dont sign up plenty of people would die to be in your spot

I see the prelims going back next season, this was the whole reason they were brought in the first place, I was like "wtf?" when DW announced there would be no prelim fights

1. because I don't really see why not, they were here for a purpose
2. it's always good to have plenty of fights for the 1st episode, as they don't show em all, they just show the best ones, KOs etc...

anyway, when his daughter finds out, he's gonna have a hard time explaining.

They do this for two reasons, one they don't plan on giving out that many contracts (we know we'll only see one fight on the finale) and two both WW and LW divisions are stacked so really only one of these guys will likely still be with the UFC in 2 years.

Next season they are doing the small weight classes and they need to flush out the divisions so you'll see 5-10ish guys get signed.

I find it mind boggling that this guy was telling JDS that he's too far away from his family when Junior's family is probably on another continent.
Dos Santos is being well compensated for this, Junior only gets 40 grand a fight, he'll both be clearly six figures now for his fights and he'll get paid well for being on the show.

Keon whata b*tch, y take a space if u dont really want it!
Finding out he was the weakest fighter in the house and that he'll likely draw the number one pick from Lesnar's team had more of an effect on him. I don't think anyone that fought to get in the house quit but to find out you are just a training partner and you'll get paid next to nothing to do this...I can understand.
