Saw a few threads talking about this season. I wanted a thread just for play by play and general chit chat!:thumb02:

Its true every season we see half the fighters look embarrassing at the end of 2 rounds out of gas. Often neither guy has anything left if it goes to the third round and the guy who is able to dig down picks up the win based purely on heart.

But is JDS gonna have his wrestling coach fight Lesnar as well because it seems like he is the one doing all the coaching.

That German guy is a real wild card IMO and the guy who should benefit the most from what I expect Lesnar's coaching strategy to involve.

Guy needs to learn some G'n'P. He was in complete control on top, but seemed to do nothing much with it. He was active, but it wasn't until about a minute left in the round before he threw a nice couple of elbows. The rest were just baby taps IMO. With some work he could have been deadly there.

Yeah you can tell he isnt at home off his back but shamar only landed like 4 elbows and did very little damage with his gnp.....he won that round but I think he may be gassed

Both guys are gassed......Shamar should not have been the number 1 pick for JDS

So now we have seen JDS's number one pick in action and I am extremely disappointed. He took German boy down very easily - no shock there - and proceeds to do just and/or shit for 10 minutes. Seriously? Nothing? No real attempt at GnP or submissions? Just man humping for 10 minutes.

I think someone should inform Shamar that we can see his foreplay. Just sayin'.

Well that was a terrible fight to watch, neither impressed me at all and the Germans guard was weak. For the clips of whats to come it sort of looked like Lesnar may be on the verge of a losing spree as he made commments to his whole team about him having to make chicken salad out of chicken shit and how the team are choking... ominous

well more "grind on ground" than "ground and pound"

Rashaad on TUF all over again, while I can understand this kind of "conservative" gameplan in the context of this competition, I disagree.

if you fight like this and end up losing at some point, you can't impress many people and I doubt anyone would call you back.

I hate grinders, they're not even fighting, I really don't see the point, specially when, before hand, the guy says he would "destroy" his opponent, then end up making love to him for the next 10 minutes. Leave gay erotica to people who enjoy it (I got no beef with gay people, just to set things straight here), but if I am to watch such a "fight" I'd rather like it to be with chicks and possibly mud.

Other than that, I like Brock but he doesn't look that smart picking the 1st fighter rather than the 1st fight.

GSP did well as he managed to pick the 1st fight and trick Kos to wast his 1st pick.

JDS seems, if not smarter, surrounded by smarter people.

and I'll pick smart over strength anyday.

but this is Brock Lesnar, he may be able to turn things around, but seeing that 1st episode, I'll quote the man himself "this is gonna be a long road"

brock will turn it around i knew what was gonna happen when i found out before the fight that it was striker vs wrestler, how many times do we have to see the striker layed on to know this, that was awful GNP by bailey he better hope no one has good bjj or tdd. i would have been way more active from my guard though like rubber guard and butterfly are just 2 positions that could have easily helped mr no grappling german

The thing is CW he thinks it was his best pick. And that speaks alot for his game plan. I think Brock has more going for him than not here. It really sucks that right off the bat he lost a strong fighter to injury...And it looks like there may be 1 or 2 more injuries on Brocks side.

man that black guy probably impregnated the german dude from that display, i had the injured due winning it all but i guess thats not happening, i cant for the life of me remember anyones names on the show that are not coaches, also i wonder who gets matt hughes to help?
