But yeah Lew challenged Junior's authority blatantly, and repeatedly, it's ridiculous to think anything else was going to happen and JDS was very professional and upfront about the whole situation. Lew Polley seems like a total asshole and Cigano is one of the nicest guys the sport has ever seen, it blows my mind when people like Toxic find reasons to side with Polley.
I agree that Lew stepped out of line, however I do agree with his coaching style over JDS, and it at least appeared that Lew had a big impact on the early success of Team Dos Santos.

What exactly is his coaching style?

Junior is not soft with his team at all. I think he pushes them much harder than Brock.

When that dumb Irish guy sort of hurt his knee Brock just decided that no one has to keep training that day. Junior had a guy running to the bathroom to puke from exhaustion and he just said "go quick and then come back." Another guy was exhausted and dos Santos said to keep pushing because no one ever died from being tired.

Junior just is a very caring guy, not a hard ass by personality, but he's pushing his team incredibly hard. He's just not being a dick about it.

Agreed. Just watching the show, I didn't have a problem with Lew. However, after seeing Lew's responses online during the season, I see why JDS cut him... he's a douche. I had no problem with JDS's coaching style.

I think JDS is playing for the camera's the whole giving a hundred bucks to the losing team just sort of rubbed me the wrong way. My biggest fear with Dos Santos is that this is more about him looking good than about getting his guys ready for the UFC. I have more respect for the Lesnar fighters because I think they are going to be better equipped to compete in the UFC. I doubt the top JDS guys will make much of an impact in the UFC, Shamar and Ramsey are wrestlers going into a wrestling heavy division and I can see after one lose either guy getting the quick cut. I think team Lesnar is really trying to get Chuck, Clay, and Tony into the UFC as legit main stays.

But really both coaches are "nice guys", Lesnar just seems to be more honest and Dos Santos more affable.

Junior is genuine like that, he's a great dude from all accounts and from everyone here that's met him in person.

Check out this funny video they took at Black House:
