Team Quest has a lot of experience I am sure with weight cutting. If I was the guy cutting weight I would rather have Lew to help me than JDS.

Lew went to the house and planned on having one of JDS' fighters cut weight using a method JDS had already said he didn't agree with using any more. JDS has more than enough knowledge on the subject to intelligently prefer one method over another.

But here is part of my problem even, It worked, He helped Ryan cut weight and he looked great. Lew planned on the fighter cutting weight in the same way that had been working. JDS was just flexing his muscle there and reasserting that he was in charge. I think this whole thing boils down to both guys (JDS/Lew) havign massive ego's. JDS is no saint here he just wants to be in charge for the sake of being in charge.

You think JDS has a massive ego? Your perception of dos Santos sounds pretty ridiculous here. He even apologized when he had to yell at him the first time because he hates "flexing his muscle" and asserting that he's in charge.
Junior said sometimes you just lose, it's just important to go out there and fight your heart out. Then instant Lew says the exact opposite. And he did that over and over and over again.

The weight cut issue was the straw that broke the camels back really. It seems Lew disregarded JDS words too many times. Even if JDS wanted to cut weight by inducing diarrhoea, thats the coaches call.

I don't know any of them.

JDS is the head coach. It doesn't matter if hes right or wrong, he has the final say. He's the boss, Lew isn't. Lew shouldn't expect JDS to conform to his standards.
Its disrespectful and arrogant for someone like Lew who isn't a very good fighter, to second guess and look down upon Junior as if he were a n00b. I'm sure JDS has his reasons for not wanting to cut using that method.
Bottom line, whatever friendship and ties Lew had with the brazilians & JDS he threw under a bus just so he could look like "someone" on tv. He backstabbed his friends for fame.
That makes him a bigger douchebag than anyone else in MMA, right now including the white supremist with swastikas tattooed on himself.

Lew Polley might think he's a "badass" using a weight cutting method that gets rid of water, quickly.
But, there are people who have died using that method of weight cutting, and dangers involved.
JDS isn't a n00b for recognizing as much.

Link please. It's not that I don't believe you, but my profession has ingrained in me to search for proof.
As for my speculation, I think the networks saw Polley was ruffling JDS' feathers, and helped to prod along the storyline in an attempt to create "tension."
MTV has been known to do this w/ its Real World brand.

Wrestlers have died just from running in sweat suit too much. There is a risk with any weight cut no matter the method.
