Same ol TUF formula
I know this has been discussed a bazillion times, but the old TUF formula is quite old. Ratings has been declining from season to season, yet no real changes has been made.
What are some ideas that you think would add new spice into this stale done to death show plot?

New country... They need to go out to Asia, or Brazil or just somewhere different.
And higher calibre fighters, I've been really disappointed with the quality this season in particular.
Don't think they need to change much apart from that really.

USA vs Brazil would be nice, or USA vs Canada
another "the come back" why not, with people who have been cut
maybe a slightly longer episode with 2 fights each time
bring back the prelims, cancel the coaches challenge (really)

I think you have to have legit coaches. Guys that can actually teach something due to their experience.
I like Junior, but he is kind of new to the game and don't even get me started about Lesnar. That guy wants to TEACH MMA? Yeah right...
That would be the same, when I would after 1 1/2 years of training in BJJ would open a school.
But I do understand that if you want to have experienced coaches like GSP, Lidell, Couture and so on, choices are quite limited. But do they have to change coaches every season or bring totally new ones?
And what the guys above me said also. Different country would spice things up and don't bring in absolute cans that can't fight for sh#t. One of these past bouts were horrible. Every or/local MMA org. bout is better....
But overall, the concept is good.

I say instead of training each fighter can go on dates with the coach and then the coach will hand out keys at the end of each episode....

F to the NO, great idea boring combo of camps
exciting is
Cesar Gracie LA vs AKA
And here's how I would change it, I would make the first episode about each team going to tryouts, picking applicants from their own gym's and fielding their own teams. I would have the next two episodes fights to get into the house, and then I would have it old school style where the first round any fighter can be picked to fight at any time, until we drop down to the final eight and then the best four take on the worst four.

I like the camp based idea. I also like the IFL team based fighting which would make things interesting. Of course team based fighting wouldn't work, but you could have a American Idol type search city to city or something picked by each camp.
Each camp would pick 3 fighters (LW, MW, HW) with 8 camps all together. Instead of 24 guys in a house acting the fool, cameras could go to the actual camps and watch the guys train (similar to UFC primetime). Afterwards there could be 3 tournaments playoff style, one for each weight class.

How about a crazy idea like this-8 countrys say US, UK, AUS, CAN, BRA, MEX, JAP, PHI all get a show aired in their country then the winners of the shows go into a new one with the winners from the different countrys and fight till a winner. The talent would be awesome, yeah it will never happen but I can dream.

I like the idea of hosting it in different countries. Also including more international fighters.
People seemed to be dubious about the coaches used this season and quite rightly! What about using retired fighters? Say Gracie/Rutten or Shamrock/Severn(I know hes not retired, he should be)
The show should be more about the fighters than the coaches anyway so I don't see a fight between the coaches as 'essential'. Even so, when moneys involved I'm sure fighters would come out of retirement for one last bash.
