Ah yes video game rage.

The hardest game I played was Ghosts and Goblins. Man that was a tough game.

btw: Just saw a Nintendo 64 on sale for $20. I'm tempted...very tempted.

Gotta disagree. I never beat heroic Rag but I have heard it is top 5 hardest. It was beat, though. On the other hand Lich King Heroic was never killed. No one ever did it before it was nerfed. I think that alone makes it the hardest wow boss ever, especially considering it was the height of popularity.

C'thun adn Yogg were supposedly impossible before the first nerf, too.

edit: wow was reading up on heroic rag. apparently 500 wipes was the fastest...maybe it is up there lol

Impossible bosses aren't really fair comparisons lol. That's just the game being broken and the devs making a boss that can't be beaten.

Vanilla rag was tough but the game was so new there were dumb limitations and ridiculous things you needed gear wise to complete it. But Mechanically speaking the Firelands rag fight was harder to execute imo.

I once got in a run with a top 30 world guild (I knew someone, wasn't really that good lol) that cleared H Firelands weekly and they still wiped once before beating it again. The whole group just had to move perfectly.

Ya thats true. I do wonder though if they were truly impossible or just so hard it may have taken people a year to get it.

Not sure but a year is unrealistic. ICC was the end content for just around 1 year which was far too long, but that would mean only a handful of the top guilds in the world would ever have downed it. And anything other than the final raid tier isn't going to be around that long so I would consider a boss that takes that long to be broken lol.

Pass on the N64, I got one with the deluxe pack and four controllers for $35 once, figured it'd be a blast to have everyone over and play some classic games. Finally found a place to pick games up, anything that was memorable or worth buying was more than the console. Also once I actually started plated I forgot how bad the controls were.

I would give the total opposite advice. The games can be around the 20-30 dollar area but I love having mine. Granted I do have a good amount of buddies that like to get together and play Mario party and super smash brothers. But it is really fun. Much more fun than having people come over to play the newer games.

The first kill for Lich King heroic was at a 5% nerf, but the same guild did go back and kill it without the nerf later as well.

FL Rag is for sure in my top 5 for hardest bosses.

In no particular order.

Heroic Lei Shen
Heroic Spine of Deathwing
Heroic Ragnaros
Heroic Lich King
Heroic Dark Animus
