I'm crossing my fingers that due to the Xbox One and PS4 being x86 based, it'll be much easier to port games to PC. But will they do it? I won't be surprised if they won't.

I think the x86 was the help with that, except the opposite way. Making it easier to import from pc.

But you're wrong on the game quality.

Consoles are good for arcade type stuff.

PC's are better for strategy, rpg, mmo and fps. My PC is almost 3 year old and blows the PS3 and 360 away in terms of performance.

The technology that makes the consoles comes from PC's, without PC graphic cards likes of Nvidia would have little need to keep improving them at the rate they do.

Besides, the next round of consoles will built on PC architecture, basically making PC ports easier and more profitable.
Completely agree with this.

Whatever. When I'm playing The Last of Us on my PS3 next week, I'll be thinking of you guys.

There is a monstrous list of *awesome* games that never make it to the PC.

One last thing. FPS? I would rather play any FPS on a controller then using a mouse. Sitting at a desk with a mouse in one hand and a keyboard under the other. Pure geek fest. How am I supposed to get immersed sitting there like that? Rubbish.

Ive been there an done it all. Massive PC lan fests. FPS. RPG. The lot. But now? Bollocks to all geeky shite. I want to kick back, nice lighting, controller in hand... away I go. In fact, I fancy me some Red Dead Redemption right now... its awesome. Have you guys played it? No? Shame.

None of the above makes up for losing out on some of the best games ever. And lets face it... its about the games. Not your processor or graphics chip.

Oh, one thing... cheaper games? Can you rent PC games?

Enjoy that while it lasts.

While you right about some games - Red Dead Redemption and UFC games, which I desperately want to play; I really couldn't give a shit about 90% of console exclusives. Thats why I sold my 360 and PS3 about 4 years ago.

The genres that I like are almost always available on PC as well as console. Just with the added advantage of better... better... well better everything.

You know what breaks my immersion when playing FPS's on console? Shite graphics, a crosshair that you don't even have to aim properly to get a kill and fidgety control that is absolutely not designed to play FPS games.

Ever played Battlefield 3 on PC? - bigger maps and more players. They tried to do it like that on the xbox and ps3 but bless them, there little tickers couldn't handle it.

I can't even imagine playing an FPS with a controller. It just seems weird.

I use a controller for every game, even when I play games on an emulator I have a wireless controller for the PC I use.

Games like...? Seriously, I can't think of a single console exclusive of the last console generation that made me say "Thank God I played this".
